@lmhollister The shop where I got my dress from wouldn't allow pictures either. My friend came along used my iphone and said she was taking notes on each dress, she just didn't use the flash and took pictures! So she was sneaky about it, most other places let me take pictures.

I don't know why places don't let you take pictures. As seen above with PPs, we're just going to sneak around with iPhones and do it anyway. We did for my sister.

Oh my. Very envious of this G2G that's happening. This is my jealous face:

Tonight, BF and I are having dinner with his co-worker and co-worker's GF at PF Changs. I'm excited for honey glazed chicken and brown rice!

Tomorrow I'm helping a friend move during the day and then hopefully going to the Admiral's game with BF (no NHL here in WI so this is the next best thing).

Sunday I need to clean my apartment, get some groceries and umm...put away my Christmas decorations finally. oops.

I'm just really glad it's going to be near 40 degrees all weekend, which is about 60 degrees warmer than it was earlier this week!

I have an appointment on Tuesday (ughhhhhh) and the owner said I could take pictures. I'm not though because I'm going to look like the Michelan Man.

@Kait Happy Birthday! When is your actual bday? Mine is on Saturday...

That said, it is birthday weekend for me as well! Tonight a friend is taking me out to dinner, then I'll probably come home and snuggle with FI and watch Breaking Bad.

Saturday is lunch with the family, then tapas for dinner with friends, followed by dancing.

Sunday will be low key, relax and get ready for week two of my new job. As an aside, I love my supervisor and my new job. We were talking wedding yesterday and she told me a story from her wedding, dropping a West Wing reference. LOVE!

ETA: reading fail! @Kait, you already posted when your bday is. Either way, have a great birthday weekend!

@swazzle - with the 'It's so fluffy, I'm gonna die' - whenever that commercial would come on I would chase my dog around and give her a hug and lots of pets. At first she thought it was the coolest thing ever, but she tired of it pretty quickly (she put up with it 'cause she loved me). I miss that dog!! (cancer took her from me)

O/T but last night, H and I put in one of the Narnia DVDs for a little bit. when Aslan the lion came out and started talking, our little rescue (Baxter) who is laid-back and sometimes timid started attacking the TV! he was totally protecting his "pack" from the big bad lion. it was the CUTEST thing. not the first time he's attacked the TV because of a big animal or something.

Quigley does that too! Or he just gets really excited and wants to play with the dogs in the TV.

@CocoBellaF - We watch a lot of Animal Planet and NatGeo Wild in my house and my cats go NUTS when they see other cats (big and small) on the TV. I love it.

@Kait & @RWS2011 - Happy Birthday weekends to both of you!! Also, Kait I'm sure you will look gorgeous trying on dresses!

One of my best friends got engaged in Hawaii yesterday and I'm SOO excited for her!! I can't wait to see her on Monday and get all the details!

I don't have much planned this weekend. BF and I are going to hang out with some friends tonight but I'm not really looking forward to it. I think the rest of the weekend BF and I will just relax and spend some much needed quality time together!

P.S. I'm super jealous of the get together this weekend and I hate you all

@buddysmom80 - I'm in the same boat you are with dress shopping - I'd love to lose 40-50lbs before my Oct wedding (I need to lose about 65-70lbs total) and I've tried on probably about 30 dresses (About 20 of these dresses were clearance dresses that I was just trying to get a good deal - those dresses were all on clearance with good reason!!). I'm not happy with the way I look in the dresses so far, but I do have pictures I'd be willing to share if it would help (I know I'm pretty much a complete stranger).

This is your first time out - you're mostly going to be looking at shapes (and if you find an awesome dress in the process - great!!)

@swazzle - Thanks, my dog passed away just over 3 years ago so it's not so fresh. The first DM movie just always reminds me of her because of that. She was an awesome dog though and I think about her quite a bit (I'm a crazy dog lady, what can I say!).

@Kait HAPPY BIRTHDAY WEEKEND YAY!!

@dignity100 I have a pet named Loki, too!! He is a parakeet and he is currently affectionately talking to and aggressively "protecting" my phone (protecting = better not try to touch the phone or you will have a tiny bird chomping down on your hand).

@QuiltingNurse I have a headache, too. THE WORST.

This week has been super shitty for me. I had a GREAT Monday and Tuesday: I finally got a protocol working, and I started Couch to 5K and had a really great workout. Tuesday evening, I had my regular (every 6 weeks) antibody infusion ... and since then I have been exhausted. Since Wednesday morning, I have been too fatigued to go to work or even leave the house; today is the first day that I haven't struggled to get out of bed. Except now I have a raging headache.

I had a really scary night last night, too. I started getting uterine cramps, which is unusual for me (no more periods with my IUD), but then they got so bad I couldn't stand up straight. We almost ended up taking a cab to the ER, but I called my university's on-call nurse first. After asking lots of questions, she recommended I take Tylenol (allergic to ibuprofen, darn) and go to the ER if the pain didn't stop in a couple hours. Fortunately, the pain did stop, but UGH what is wrong with my body?

Anyway, I'm home again today because I can't seem to drag myself off the couch, but I'm forcing myself to get up and go to campus to start up some cells, and to meet up with my friend who just got back from a long vacation.

Tomorrow, I have a hair cut, and if I'm feeling well enough, I'm going to hit the gym. Sunday, one of my friends might be coming over to hang out, but we haven't confirmed yet.

And on Saturday, my partner and I are going to sit down and make a timeline for more wedding planning. Yay!

@phira - Funny that your Loki is a 'protector' (even if it is of a phone); My Loki feels he is my protector and actively watches over me. All my animals have had some kind of 'name with meaning'/historic names.
