Lights On/Lights Off

Re: Lights On/Lights Off

  • @TwoDimes...it totally sucks. It feels like the last several months have flown by, but now that we're almost in the clear TIME. IS. DRAGGING. Ugh!

  • @Minskat30 - I'm so damn clumsy I would probably knock the candle over and start a fire.
  • Ha! @CASK85 - It almost happened once or twice to us.  It is all about strategic placement of said-candels now.  :)

@Beanbot2002 - You have my sympathy, truly.  One of my friends had to be on pevlic rest for half of her pregnancy and she was miserable.  At least the light is visable now at the end of the tunnel.

  • I'm definitely a lights-off type of person.  I can get really self-conscious and when the lights off, I'm much less inhibited.  BF, however, likes at least some form of light so he can see me.  Not that I really care either way, but if I want to get down and dirty, the lights better be off.

  • @minskat30 True! We have one flameless candle, although the battery needs replacing. Could probably easily get some more of those little tea lights.

I love the smell of real candles, though. Favorite part about Chanukah.

Ok I'm surprised I'm the first to say "candlelight".  :)  Unless it is the morning obviously.

I agree, for some reason I look hot in candlelight...regular light...yeah, not so much.

But we don't really go to too much effort to get the perfect lighting...but good god, at least mute the TV!!!

...although if there is an actual pause in action BF insists on turning lights off, and would prefer pitch dark if I let him.  I like to see something!  Not everything (like my fat), but something!

  • That's what it's been just about. I've been on full pelvic rest for the ENTIRE pregnancy. We weren't even allowed to fool around (on my end). IT HAS BEEN TORTURE! I wish this on NO ONE! But little No-Uh is worth it, we decided.
    Gyah!  That sounds frustrating!

We are also in the not-too-picky camp for lighting.  When the mood is right, lighting be damned!

  • we tend to fool around in the mornings so it doesn't typically make a difference... but if one of us is trying to set the mood we usually go with twinkle lights or candles. I like to see his O face ;)
  • Either. I prefer lights off just because it's after the holidays and I've gained a few pounds, but sometimes it's just not important if they're on or off.
