    I am terribly sorry that you're in this predicament.

    FI and I had the same discussion, and have chosen to have a dry wedding to keep his mother from behaving inappropriately. However, we also made the decision to have a lunchtime reception, so not providing alcohol wouldn't feel as weird. I know that some of our friends will be disappointed but I'd rather deal with that than with my MIL.

    I wish you luck with this, I know it's hard.
