Funny Dear Abby letter, yet also proves a point!

http://news.yahoo.com/animal-lover-appalled-camouflage-wedding-050112316.html

I almost spit out my diet coke when Dear Abby mentioned being able to re-wear the dress. However, this is a good example of when friends and loved ones won't tell you when they are offended. The author took the time to write to Dear Abby hoping to get a response before just calling up the couple and discussing her feelings about their wedding. So, for those lurkers out there that think their friends and family won't be offended by a choice "because it's what you want!", I suggest digging a bit further to ensure that you are not being rude to your guests.

  • It always cracks me up when people say they know THEIR guests will be fine with something. We even had one once who swore she had polled everyone coming to the wedding to make sure they were ok with the groom going up her dress head first to get her garter. Sure ya did, snowflake.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • I laughed at the part where Abby said the camo theme was "unique." It's not unique anymore, it's gone the way of mason jars and burlap.
  • I'd like to know where you can wear a camouflage wedding dress again. Some sort of hunting ball?

Nah!  She can wear it for the opening of deer hunting season!!  It's what all the fashionable huntresses will be wearing!

Odds are the bride has a pink rifle too?
