If you could buy one thing for spring...

I've been wanting a cute, fitted leather jacket for YEARS. I was so tempted when I found some on mega sale, but they were still $200+ and I couldn't justify it with the other, more practical things I was buying. Like the godfather of all winter coats.

Some other staples I'm lacking that would be nice is a trench coat and a maxi dress or skirt. Well I guess I sort of have a maxi skirt.
This! Such a great addition to any spring wardrobe.

  • I need struts and tires, too.  I just can't bring myself to spend precious leftover Christmas money on something so practical!

I normally wouldn't either, but I'm worried about flooding once this snow starts to melt. My office is like 2 blocks from Willowbrook, and it always floods here when it rains. I'm nervous about getting stranded or hydroplaning in a puddle on my drive home! As much as I want to spend the money frivilously, I also don't want to get into an accident.

@cookie pusher - We're so close! I work in the middle of Wayne, and hate the flooding that happens with a white winter and rainy spring. I'll think good thoughts for your work travels when we start to see the rain. :(

I want a hot tub on my patio!  A new dress would be nice, but until the designers understand that old ladies don't wear short skirts, I'm out of luck on that one.  I will just have to settle for the hot tub.  (Sigh!)

A hot tub... sounds like a tough decision! ;)

My office is near the airport, and that area is such a mess when it rains even just a little. Passaic Avenue turns into a lake, and people forget how to drive! During Hurricane Irene, there was several feet of water in the street - a massive tree stump actually floated into our parking lot and had to be removed with a giant truck.

*more than a little jealous of the hot tub*

  • I would probably buy a new pair of shoes or the Ninja blender. I always find a reason to buy new shoes. Lol I already have a blender but after reading the reviews for the Ninja and finding it for a great price I think I'm going to buy it this week.

  • I've been stocking up on spring/summer dresses from Zulily that should fit my hopefully expanding waistline. One is a cute polka dot number that will help me channel my inner Kate Middleton.

I also want a new handbag. I've been scouring the interwebs for a structured mediumish satchel with handles long enough to go over my shoulders in a nice all season medium brown. I just don't want to have to sell DD to the circus to make that happen.

Our next door neighbors have a hot tub.  I foresee us bribing them with DH's cooking to get use of said hot tub.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

This thread now has me wishing for a hot tub, except I live in an apartment.  If only they made portable ones we could plug in on our balcony...

  • There were some cute satchels at the Coach Outlet (if you're on their email list, you can view/purchase them online). I've also had luck finding cute bags at TJMaxx/Marshalls.

  • I got that pink dress in the mail yesterday - cute, cute, CUTE.  I love it.  (sorry you can see my bra in the underarm but I was so excited to try it on!)

  • The dress is so pretty!! Love it!

I also bit the bullet... and spent $428 on new tires. Because I got a flat on my way to work. Dammit, universe!
