Re: Friday!!!!!

  • @buddysmom80 I hope I didn't do a faux pas with the "Formal invitation to follow". I just realized that it might have been kind of a duh thing to leave on there. Oops...

I definitely put "invitation to follow" on my STDs...I read somewhere that you were suppose to...? who knows.

@southernpeach89 @severmilli12 @phira OMG I didn't mean to freak everyone out about the Formal invitation to follow. :( Sorry! I was just looking at the image I posted and thought...huh...I wonder if I was supposed to do that or not. Not that it matters at all...the STDs are printed...but I'm glad everyone else seems to be doing the same thing.

@southern I totally forgot about the exact wording on your STDs. Also, it was super tempting to buy the same style off of Wedding Paper Divas because I love how your's turned out so much and I DIDN'T!

  • Thanks to @lmhollister EVERYONE IS FREAKING OUT!!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to be with the cool club (@phira, @severmilli12, @lmhollister) and put "formal invitation to follow".

  • I did NOT put 'Invitation To Follow' on my STDs (am I the only one who giggles that Save the Date and Sexually Transmitted Disease have the same letters - although I can only imagine one is much more fun to receive than the other).  Anyway - back to my point, I did not put it on there because I'm not 100% sure I'm doing a formal invite as only immediate family is invited and I am hoping to have all their travel plans so I know what to book out.  I did put 'More Information To Follow' though - as I did give them information about Walt Disney World in hopes they could better prepare for a vacation there if they wished to take one.

  • I apologize for the long post in advance.

@TwoDimes, no you are not the only one to giggle every time you see the abbreviation of STD, and I love the grandma example.

    @Blue, holy crap 8 days!

@keptinstitches, I hope that all the issues with the house are resolved, asbestos is scary :(

@foxandbunny: Good luck on the interview, I hope it went well, and that if its a good fit, they call you back!

@Buddysmom80 and @Severmilli12, my friend from Parsons whose worked for multiple fashion companies offered his advice for for our e-pics shoot.  Something to the effect of "Be yourself, own it as a couple, and no matter what, just have fun with it". The photographer allowed us to see our first five photos (the ones she spent time posing), and they looked awful. When FI and I took control and decided to have fun, we noticed that our pictures looked a lot better. Bottom line: You are your own worst critics. Have fun and don't listen to those criticizing voices in you're head.

@brisox, I'm super jealous! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the sparkle pony to make an appearance.

My weekend is going to be pretty casual. FI is visiting his family in MA. I would've gone but I am too tired to make the trip and I am bogged down with school work. I went to the office today and wasn't feeling up to working a full day.

Saturday I plan on attending a few study sessions, maybe catch up on my DVR if I have enough work completed.

Sunday grocery shopping, paper writing and cleaning.

I'm just happy that I can afford a bit of a break (minus the papers) right now.

  • Hooray for Friday!

I worked all day today.  I was more than a little annoyed because our new girl quit, leaving us with a blank shift that should have been filled.  Also Bossman stepped out early because it's review time and he's in charge of another store.  So we were down two people today.  The two baristas who were working with me have been having a bit of a spat lately and while one is handling very maturely, the other isn't doing so well.  Not to mention no one placed a change order for today which means we'll be out of quarters by Sunday and the transfer from another store wants to play it by ear instead of just jaunting over to the bank next door to get some quarters.  Which isn't going to end well.

Whoops. That turned into a rant that I didn't mean to unleash on you ladies.  I'm just frustrated.

Tomorrow I close at work while BF is at his friend's wedding.  Sunday I will close while BF is at dinner with his brother and his brother's fiancee.  I'll be making money while he'll be spending it.

Come to think about it, I don't think he bought them a gift yet.  And I don't remember where we put the card that we bought a little while ago.

  • Awesome news - we reviewed our disclaimers again and found that all the vermiculite (asbestos) insulation was removed 5 years ago and replaced with normal fiberglass insulation. So the attic is no concern, no asbestos on the pipes, and the only place we still need to worry is the basement tiles (there appear to be two different types) and the mudding compound on the sheetrock upstairs. Potentially. Best to treat it as though it is. But all in all, considering the dust is the dangerous part of asbestos, this was excellent news today.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes on the interview! It went really well, and I should be hearing back from them in a couple of weeks.

@blue, @bethsmiles, @phira (and anyone I may have missed) Thanks for the study/test taking advice!I think overthinking may be one of my main problems while taking the tests. I haven't been able to find a study group, but I know I have a loving BF who might just sit there and listen to me teach him stuff. If not, I have a few stuffed animals who might need to know the ins and outs of marketing.

@lmhollister - Your STDs (which always makes me think of sexually transmitted diseases too @Dignity100. It took me a little bit to figure out what they actually were. I was worried about the sexual health of TK for a while before I did.) are awesome! I love them!

Shiroyasha - I'm sorry work sucks. I hope it gets better.

    Edited for clarification.
