    After 9 trips down the aisle as a BM, I am pretty sure I am also done. I have *maybe* 1 more? The older we get, the smaller the bridal party. I used to be in groups of 8 or 9 BMs. Now everyone is basically whittling down to having 1-3 people.

    I just enjoy weddings much more as a guest, but I will absolutely be there to pitch in if you need anything!

    I'm one of the last of my friends, male or female, to get married. I would be shocked out of my mind if someone asked me to be a BM. I managed to avoid it all these years (I've only accepted once - for a courthouse wedding), and I don't really foresee myself being enthusiastic about accepting the role. The only single females that are part of my social circle are my kid sister and one friend who, because she only dates douchebags, will likely not get married anytime soon. So yea, I would honestly say I'm all but out of the BM zone. It has nothing to do with anything other than not having many single friends anymore. (And if you want to read into it and make it into some bullshit that it isn't, you go right on ahead.)

    What the fuck just happened? I'm reading along about being a bridesmaid while bieng knocked up and how that's cool and all and then all of a sudden out of left field "so you're saying you hate your friends who marry older". I felt like Regina Georgia just showed up asking if we agreed we were pretty.

    If the majority of your friends are married, you kind of assume, you're done standing in their weddings. Right now I'm in the thick of everyone getting married. We're in mid to late 20s and it's time to hitch up. I'm assuming in a few years this will all die down.

    It's fine and all to get offended. But don't go looking for shit to be offended over. No one said "Once you hit 30 you can't be a bridesmaid", hell my step-mom is in her late 40s and is going to be bridesmaid soon because her best friend is finally getting married and asked her. She thought she was done with it too, but was happy to agree to be a BM.
