They keep reminding everyone that it's Friday the 13th. Anyone here superstitous? I never have been, but I think it's interesting how some people are SUPER extreme superstitious.
GARDEN!! were finishing up filling my garden boxes tonight after work (I did one myself lastnight, it was hell and im SO sore now, so Adam is spearheading the other two - I might have tried to do a bit more but I quit after I realized I was covered in a swarm of ants). Its supposed to piss rain all weekend, so I am hoping it loosens up the ground enough that I can weed where my bean rows go, till, and plant my beans. Sounds exciting huh? Im full on garden mode now.
I'm not supersticious. I wouldn't even know it was the 13th unless someone told me.
Ni big plans for tomorrow, just working from home if I can and cleaning. Sunday we are probably going to see Thor at the IMAX. All that muscle on the big screen. It sounds wonderful.
I'm having cramps from Hell. I wish I could just go home and curl up in a ball, but no...I have to work. Ugh...
This weekend will be Wedding Errand Weekend. I have to mail out 4 packages of wedding stuff to Will's parents (OOT bags stuff, and the last 5 pomanders I had to finish, I've really been procrastinating in sending them out), swing by Michael's for some flowers for my toss bouquet since our DJ and Will's parents talked us into doing a bouquet/garter toss, getting groceries to get us through next week and snack for our flight, and hopefully going to the gym somewhere in there.
It's crunch-time.

Happy Friday the 13th indeed! If I can make it through the workday, I've got a fantabulous weekend lined up.
Starting with...MY BACHELORETTE PARTY! I'm looking forward to it. It'll be kind of low key because, if any of you remember, my MOH and one BM tried to get us to go paint art instead of going out. I nixed that idea, but gave a "compromise". So we're kind of doing the compromise of dinner and drinks, then those that want to continue on can do so, and those that don't can go home. My Aunt and Mom got me a hotel room downtown as my Shower gift, so no worries there for me.
Saturday is Bikes, Brews and BBQ. It's something our friends have done now for 3 consecutive years. Starting at noon (another reason not to go wild tonight) we ride our bikes to a local brewery's tasting room, then have a beer. Hop back on the bikes to the brewery's restaurant, have another beer (or water). Hop back on the bikes to the next brewery, get the drift. Then the fourth and last stop is a restaurant/brewpub where we'll have dinner and relax a little before riding our bikes back to the house. Total round trip of biking is about 15 miles. So, not too bad for someone who doesn't ride much.
Sunday will be recovery/ wedding prep day. I hope everyone has a speedily moving Friday! Watch out for black cats.
I was born on a Friday the 13th so I've never been supersticious.
As for weekend, leaving for an out of town wedding. My best friend's son is getting married. Our families have been friends for 25+ years and our boys have been good friends since they were about 4. My son is in the wedding party so it'll be neat to see him in a tux.
Marrin - Will's friend had to back out of the wedding, so we asked his 13 year-old son to be his replacement since he's like a mini version of his dad. He got so excited, it was really cute. Usually he's so calm, cool and collected, so to see him get excited about something like that was really sweet.
Then again, he could just be excited that he gets to walk down the aisle with my 13 year-old cheerleader niece, but oh well...

Good morning. I had no idea it was the 13th until I saw this lol. Guess I'm not superstitious?
Tonight H and I are going to buy a dining set for our deck. The one we found is on super sale so I think we'll get some extra cushions, too. We're also going to Home Goods to hopefully find a new area rug.
Saturday is my cousins high school graduation party. H's parents are coming into town to go to it with us so it should be a good time. Other than that, I think we might go see Thor on Sunday.
I am REALLY happy that I am not superstitious because today I will find out about the job I applied for and I have my big presentation too...no time for bad luck in my world.
In other news I am seeing some minor changes on the scale (nothing massive, but a very slow decline, which is better than no decline at all frankly) and my knee pain only woke me once or twice last night. Hurrah for small victories.
Yesterday I came home to find a package in the mail from my dad - it was a bracelet and a pair of earrings. Nothing fancy or expensive, but the fact that he thought to buy it for me and then send it in the mail - it was just what I needed. Tomorrow night we are going out to a club to see a friend sing so I am going to wear it then. Other than that, no huge plans. Our house desperately needs a good cleaning, that's really as exciting as it will get.

Morning. I didn't realize it was the 13th either. Our REA is setting up a couple second showings for us for tomorrow. Then we're going to my boss' 50th birthday party tomorrow night. Fun times.
Our apartment is a wreck. H cleaned some last night (thank goodness, it was getting overwhelming) and our plan is to keep at it this weekend.
This is the first day all week our internet connection at work has worked, I feel very out of touch.
I have a confession to make: I'm seriously considering going home after work, taking a long nap, and ordering some delivery Italian food for dinner. I'm craving chicken parmesan like a motherfucker right now. I even have the delivery menu printed out and sitting on my desk right now. It's 8:40am, FML.

We are finally getting our new toilet today! Yay! The plumber will be here before 10. I have to do my thank yous from my shower today, and a little work, but otherwise I'm free! We might go look at new washers and dryers tomorrow, so that's exciting.
I doubt we're going to do much this weekend, the new kitten and our cat aren't playing nice with each other yet, so we'll probably be home to keep an eye on them. Dezi (thanks Sesh couldn't care less about our big cat, Alley, but Alley doesn't like Dezi AT ALL. I also need to get the house cleaned up and caught up on laundry. I leave for Nashville on Monday morning so I'd like to be caught up before I leave.
Mehg, your post about OOT bags made me think about mine, so I just checked in the spare bedroom and sure enough, they are still sitting there. I forgot all about them until just now. Now I kind of feel like an ass
Good morning, ladies. Today is the 5th anniversary of my first date with DH. Wow. Not much planned for the weekend, just working on the yard and a couple of bike rides and hikes.
Good luck with your news and presentation today, Nubmers. You'll rock it.
Tonight DH gets home from his business trip. I've missed him. But tomorrow I have to work a fashion show with the Marketing Dir. Should be fun, not my normal day of sitting behind the desk. And Home Depot is comimg to measure for the install of the hardwoods. This room reno is taking forever, but with DH's travel schedule I'm glad he's hiring someone to do it for us.
Finally Friday! My friend is coming to spend the weekend with us, and we're going to our company's "Extravaganza Weekend" tonight and tomorrow - should be a great time
Hope everyone's cramps get better ~ Steph, I got an IUD 3 years ago and it was the best decision I've ever made. No PMS, super-light periods, and nothing to remember to take every day - I'm horrible at remembering my BCP so the IUD was a great option!
mehg- if it makes you feel better, I got an IUD three weeks ago. I'm still cramping like a mofo. It's awful. Thank god my body hasn't become immune to Aleve yet. Oh, and italian food sounds delicious now.
ohhh. Sarah, fun! H and I finally chose our new appliances. I'm just pretending I never saw the final number from Home Depot (after a range/fridge/dishwasher /washer/dryer, carpet, and patio sliding door.) If it's getting rolled into the mortgage, it doesn't count, right?
Good luck, Numbers! Let us know what you hear What job is this??

I truely believe Aleve and Italian Food is the cure for cramps...true story!
Actually in my case its Pamprin, which I told someone 3 weeks ago to get!...hint,hint.
For some reason, Pamprin just sounds so..."menstrual" to me LOL. I haven't used it since high school, but my CW swears by it. She says Midol makes her feel like she's BSC (probably because of the caffeine), whereas, I swear by Midol (especially the 12-hour formula) to keep me sane.

FI is working tomorrow so I will have the day to myself. Probably going to plant some flowers and go see "Bridesmaids" with the bf's.
I am super excited that we finished the mock-up for the wedding invitations....my mom is amazing!
I'm a little superstitious...I don't even like when I get in the car and the end of the mileage is 666. Sometimes I consider driving around the block so my starting mileage isn't 666.
But nothing has ever happened to me on Friday the 13th or when my miles end in 666 so it's probably all for naught.
Today I'm going to get a new dress and some foundation, then it's off to work.
I'n kind of superstitious, though not about Friday the 13th. My FMIL asked me to go shopping with her tomorrow. She is wiped out and says she needs a break. My one FSIL just had a baby, and the other FSIL is due any day, and their husbands work out of town, so my FSIL has been on Grammy/Nanny duty with them helping (the one FSIL has two other ones under 5 years old). So I can see why she needs a day off! I am excited because I want to go buy 2 giant pots to put on either side of our front door and plant flowers in the, I am thinking 2 giant red ones (I love red!).
It's so sunny and beautiful here right now, so, I am in a super good mood. How can a Friday ever be a bad thing?
I'm not superstitous. I generally don't even think about it when it's friday the 13th.
Today was the hard part of getting married...paying all the final bills. Since the wedding is 2 weeks from today, the remaining balances for most vendors were due today. Ouch!
