I'm jealous of all ya'll who can wear those giant shoes. I'm 5'9" (ish? maybe 5'10" if I stand up straight?) so I would be a BEAST in those things. Thankfully FI is 6'4" so I can still wear 4" heels for the wedding without looking weird (at least to me), but that's as far as I'll push it.
Rock it, girls! I'm 5'11" and still love me a good heel.
Tall girls should not be allowed to be even taller via heels!
Sorry, not sorry, you damn lucky tall ppl!
Then short girls should not be allowed to date tall people. :-p I mean, I swiped my tall drink o' water up already, but still. I've known some girls who dated guys over a foot taller than them, while I was dating guys BARELY taller than me who also happened to be intimidated by me being taller. Those were some sad shoe days, friends.
seriously all of the poeple whwo are arguing for HGF what is it that is so graet about her?
SITB
Ooh I'll play! Since we're all saying everything negative about her. I think she's a good writer that exudes intelligence. I like that she is pretty liberal and understanding even though she is devoutly Catholic, which is a breath of fresh air compared to my family, which has been working under the assumption that I'm going to hell.
But mostly she's just another (very prolific) poster that I don't feel a whole lot of one way or another about. Some posts I like, some I don't, just like most anyone else. And this thread is really freaking weird.
But I'm guessing you didn't really want the opinion of a trashy imaginary former stripper.
@beethery I knew we were kindred spirits. I was one too. I kinda sucked at it though. But I know there's at least a couple others, which is why I lol whenever the subject of "ew strippers are gross" comes up.
I was a short lived stripper! I didn't make very good money at the club my friend got me on at, and the other ones seemed too icky (like they need a good clean up job). I made better money tending bar and doing "live nude" modeling. I'd get naked and walk around for artistic purposes or something. I got paid decently and no one did anything naughty.
FI was a stripper for awhile too, she made way better money then I did. She has a better look. More hot girl next door, less girl next door with pot (that's me, that's my look).
I figure that I'm being called out because I posted the TOS earlier, since anyone who's actually curious can google the TOS themselves. It's not explicitly against TOS to create a new username and not be upfront about your original TK username. And honestly, I don't think that should be against TOS. On its own, it's entirely benign.
Sorry for not constantly posting in this thread as a member of the HGF army (apparently). Was busy being home sick and puking, will try to do better some other time.
@cupcait927@kgold80 Can we stop beating around the bush here? Who are you both implying is an AE / unknown username?
Well, your profile says that your account was created May 20th. Judging by some of your responses, it sure seems like you've been here for awhile. There are a couple of others here, like misscleo, who seems to also have some knowledge they wouldn't have with an 8 day old account. I apologize if I am mistaken and that isn't the case.

I'm 5'4" and FI is 5'10". So I can get away with my 6" heels and be his height. Lucky me? Haha. I'd wear them regardless because heels make me feel good
Everyone here over 5' tall that is complaining about being short should come live in my world for few minutes! There are quite a few 10 year-olds who are taller than I am. lol
I'm 5'...and a half! That's how I know I'm short, I count half of an inch.
Not only do I know children taller then me (my 7 y/o FSIL is catching up to me already), I can actually wear clothes out of the kid's section. And I totally do.
Then you've got me beat by over 2", lady. I frequently don't hit the "You must be this tall" signs at amusement parks! haha
You're the same height as my grandmother! When I'd complain about being short she say "You could be shorter", with this menacing look like maybe she'd put a curse on me and make me shrink.
Hello fellow shorties. I'm only 5'... I would love to have the half. : (
It was a relatively new discorvery. I went to a new doctor and the nurse measured me and went "Ok 5 foot and a half" and I made him stop and re-read to me what my height was. I was really excited I even told the doctor "I love it here, I grew half of an inch!" and she didn't think I was crazy.
Am I the only one who cant believe there are people who are still upset that Linger and Stage got banned? It was a year ago.
I must be naive but I had no idea there was such underground animosity between regs.
I think we should all take some of the advice we give to the newbies. Slowly back away from the internet, because this thread has been talking in cirlces for 9+ pages.

I just have to say that I watched pole dancing videos on YouTube once- don't ask me how I got on that rabbit trail- and they were amazing. Not only did those women look super graceful, they were doing some really impressive acrobatics and it just looked like fucking fun.
ETA- I'm still not thrilled about "dollar tricks" though.

@cupcait927@kgold80 Can we stop beating around the bush here? Who are you both implying is an AE / unknown username?
Well, yourself for starters. And @misscleo which, unless it is a WILD coincidence, is someone who either is a reg or used to be a reg and still lurks, even if they asked for their account to be deleted/was banned. I cannot remember the thread (anyone want to dig it up for me?) but there was a recent reference to miss cleo, the television psychic, and I find it incredibly coincidental that all of a sudden we have a new poster with that name who knows backstory that newer posters don't. I could be mistaken, and if I am, I apologize. I just think there's a better way to voice your opinion. Maggie and Muppet have done it and aren't acting like children.
@beethery I knew we were kindred spirits. I was one too. I kinda sucked at it though. But I know there's at least a couple others, which is why I lol whenever the subject of "ew strippers are gross" comes up.

One of my biggest standards for clubs I worked at was how often they had someone sweep the floor. If I found wads of hair and grit in the corner, I was OUT superfast. That was usually a good sign of other things that got overlooked.
I should've done art modeling while I was still stripping. The ones in my area got $20/hour! Not the same as what I was pulling at work, but it was MUCH easier.

I've never said that I'm a newb. And as I stated before, it's entirely possible for a "reg" to create a new account and post under a new name and I don't see how or why that is a crime. It also doesn't have to mean that they did anything wrong under their old account or that it's an AE.

I'm kind of astounded at how ridiculous this thread has gotten. It's been pretty disappointingly divisive. I hate to be the WHY CAN'T WE ALL GET ALONG person, although mostly because I'm just really not in the mood to be targeted today.
Although I've kind of assumed the stripper heel topic is the WHY THE FIGHTING contingent, which has been entertaining.
@beethery I knew we were kindred spirits. I was one too. I kinda sucked at it though. But I know there's at least a couple others, which is why I lol whenever the subject of "ew strippers are gross" comes up.
@PrettyGirlLost I have seen/heard about/experienced things that would make Jenna Jameson nod in agreement, and make Joan Rivers blush. I miss my work friends, and the money, but not the customers.
@FiancB YES!!!!! I have many chuckles about strippers being gross. There are gross people everywhere. I am not, nor have I ever been one of them. Someone described strippers as being 'trash ladies' in front of me once, and the only image I could conjure up was of Marjory the Trash Heap from Fraggle Rock. I was laughing to begin with, but that image just sent me over the edge.
That's why i don't think I could go to a strip club with guy friends. . . I think other men, and maybe even my friends, would piss me right the fuck off with their behavior and I might start a fight.
I'd totally poke a guy in the eye with my stripper heels if he was being an unmitigated pig to a stripper.

I wholeheartedly agree. I mentioned in another thread about dollar dances that if I'm dancing for cash, I will be back at the club making it happen. Not at my wedding reception.

If I didn't love puppy gifs so much I would vote they be replaced by stripper heels in all future BSC threads.

It is super fun! And a great workout to boot. I've admired the skill and athleticism since finding those Youtube videos in college and have taken lessons off and on since 2011. Some of my closest girl friends are at my pole studio. It's really nice to be around so many amazing women, of all shapes and sizes, from all walks of life, in such a non-judgmental atmosphere. If there is a studio near you, I highly recommend trying it out. If not, there are really good online lessons at StudioVeena. I have a pole at home and I don't do much with it. I've actually stopped my lessons too with wedding planning, etc. and I really miss it. I feel inspired by the stripper shoes to reacquaint myself.

DH's cousin teaches pole dancing and even goes to competitions. She got 3rd at a recent one. I'm so tempted to go to one of her classes, but then I feel weird because it's his cousin.

I am good at the dancing part! I miss that a lot. Spinning poles are a shitton of fun. I am terrible at the sales part though. Shy and socially awkward does not a hustler make. It didn't help that I was in a state that is notoriously bad money for all but the very best hustlers, and actually prefers the pot-smoking-girl-next-door-look. lol.
@phira You posted a quote from the TOS and paged KP so that people would get warned/banned and/or the thread would be closed. There was absolutely no reason for any of that other than people were disagreeing with you and HGF whom you were defending. What did you think would happen?
Am I the only one who cant believe there are people who are still upset that Linger and Stage got banned? It was a year ago.

Me three! I have always really liked pretty much all the regs here and this makes me feel like middle school all over again. I am going to start crying and turn into the rainbow cake girl.

Eh, I went to pole dancing class a couple of times and all I did was bruise the hell out of the top of my right foot. I think I'm too clumsy and awkward to actually pull it off.
