I truly don't see how anyone can still be so butthurt a year later over people getting banned from a wedding planning forum. Get the fuck over it. I don't care what happened here a year ago (nor do most of the newer regs, to my knowledge). Who are you helping by bringing it up? Even if I don't like someone, I have even less respect for someone always blaring "I don't like this person and neither should you!" How fucking childish is that? There are plenty of people here I don't much care for, but I keep it to myself.
Don't care about what happened a year ago? Then don't read my fucking post about it. HGF said she had nothing to do with what happened and that is very obviously a lie. I don't like liars. I never said you had to dislike them as well.
I am still "butthurt" over Stage and Linger getting banned because it was bullshit. I am also butthurt that Retread got banned b/c I think that was harsh as well. I am butthurt over the entire fucking drama of last summer and how hard some of us tried to work with the Knot gods to sort out the shitshow that was happening. I am butthurt at the way many of us were treated through the entire process, from flags to love its to bannings. I am butthurt over the lies we were told.
I will never start fresh drama over it, but it is not going to just disappear for many of us. I don't care if "the newer regs don't care" what happened a year ago. And if anyone is butthurt that *I* still care, then he or she can "get the fuck over it."
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14
Second what Addie said, as always. Additionally, I love that the whole post is "If I don't like someone, I don't bring it up! Get over it!" in defense of a person who didn't like a couple of people so much that she complained until they were banned and then bragged about it.
Come on over to the Etiquette board. I'm getting bashed for insisting that zip codes do not belong on the text of your wedding invitation. DH has temporarily boxed up my etiquette books. Everybody pile on!
How very mature of you.
Oh FFS @CMGragain you were not fucking bashed. People were just disagreeing with you and saying that including the zip code is NOT against etiquette but that it is just against tradition. And since etiquette and tradition are not the same thing including the zip code will certainly not screw up your invitation.
Also, people provided examples as to why a zip code may be necessary in some larger cities. Like I said in the other thread, if the zip codes were such a no-no then I am sure your dear Crane's and Emily Post would have made note of that, but they didn't, so apparently it really is not that big of a fucking deal.

Additionnally, I think what many of you will never be able to understand (and that is not your fault) is that the events of last summer were ongoing and part of a huge-scale epic clusterfuck that was so multi-layered, crossing over to multiple "venues" (TK, FB, proboards, WW, WB) you truly had to be there to know what we are talking about. It is not like it was a couple of stupid fights amongst ourselves and with the Knot gods. It was far more complex than that.
So like I said, I will never start fresh drama over it, I play nice with all the regs and you'll probably never know if I do or do not like you (yep, that's me....the nice one...and I've taken serious heat for that, including from Linger, and we're still cool despite that), but to ask any of us to just get over it is.....not asking too much, exactly, but is unreasonable b/c it is not as black and white as that.

Holy shit I thought this thread was going to be so lame and then I started reading it and it was delightfully dramatic, then when I think it cant get any weirder/better fucking bubbleswhatevernumbers pops back in and now I am typing this while looking at a high heel filled with tiny barbie heads.
"Pole dancing" is her bat signal.
Seriously? Someone asked about where to get a good home pole and I gave them an answer. I had nothing else to add to the other conversation going on about HGF because I dislike her and think she's a pretentious person. Sorry you don't like me and feel the need to make snide comments.

I can respect that. I guess I only expect people to "get over it" to the point that it's not controlling their day to day actions so much that they're starting fresh drama.

It doesn't and no existing reg started any fresh drama. Someone, a troll/not troll? who knows? expressed a negative opinion about HGF's post that resulted in HGF insulting the person which resulted in a downward spiral demonstration of a historically demonstrated behavior pattern that was responded to by people who have dealt with it for a considerable length of time.
You'll never be subject to a cash bar, gap, potluck wedding, or b-list if you
marry a Muppet Overlord.

I'm not sure if this was directed at me or @fran1985, but I'll respond.
I didn't mean my comment as an "I don't like you, don't post here" affront. I was just pointing out that where pole dancing is involved, you usually have a comment or opinion. It's like saying cake is a bat-signal for Addie, or knitting is a bat-signal for Stitches. It isn't an insult... at least, I didn't think it was.
I apologize then. The way it was written seemed, at least to me, to be a bit insulting. Again I apologize. My own mistake.

I never actually said lightingsnow = bubbles, I just said that bubbles showed up on this thread. (I feel like an online verison of ADA Cabot) Its not that I dislike you I dislike the oh I am a brand new lurker when its like your 3rd screen name on here.
I would just like to say that, because of this thread, I started googling stripper heels when I came home. There are quite a few pop ups associated with this, apparently. A lot of *ahem* adult pop ups. Imagine FI's surprise when he walked into the room with the following heels as the main image on the screen and me frantically closing deep throat videos. That was a fun discussion.
I used to take classes and had a lot of other, um...adult hobbies and when I moved into Fi's place I had my knee-high patent leather heels and made some joke about "bet you never thought you'd have these in your house!" He just looked at me straight faced and said "really? It's not the first time."
I wasn't here and have no clue about the drama and so refuse to point fingers either way because it would be irresponsible of me to comment on something I know nothing about, but I was a little disappointed how quickly we went from discussing something silly someone's husband did to pointing out every flaw seen in a user. I did feel like it was a little uncalled for that quite a few people came over and were explaining every reason that they didn't like the OP. I mean, could you imagine if that extended to every other thread. Things brought up about her were completely off topic and we had users trying to taunt and shame her into responding.
I guess I felt, and you don't have to agree, that this went a little further than "your current idea is bad" this stepped into "I don't like you, you are a bad person, you are a liar, you don't post right so you must be pretentious, every idea you post is terrible" I think this thread did cross a line (not a TOS line) but it turned from discussing ideas to nitpicking a particular person and I felt it was maybe unnecessary on this thread.
I'm sure I have many posts that people don't agree with. I'm not silly enough to think that I make everyone happy, but I would be off-put if someone derailed a thread to discuss my flaws.
