Any tips on learning to walk in heels? My mom bought me a really pretty pair for the wedding but if I don't learn to walk in them I'm pretty sure I'll end up dying from a shoe related accident and that' would make for a crappy day.
Like PPs said, practice. But also, heels will probably make your hips swing more than usual, because you have to put your feet very close to your midline so you don't fall down. Just put on your sexiest attitude and strut like you want your FI to stare at your ass.
My only concern is that I am going to have a blue pedicure. Would royal blue clash too badly with that fuschia? (Or however the eff you spell that color.)

Darn, I was worried I'd just have to practice. Oh well... Lol. Thanks everyone! This cracked me up.
I was going through "Love it"ing all the shoes I liked, and I caught myself clicking "Love it" every other post. Great shoes y'all. today, I have on tennis shoes because I took my seniors on a trip to the Botanical Gardens and my general 4" heels would not do great in sand and dirt.
So I just got these babies in the mail today, however, I made a huge shoe oops. I ordered a 6, when I wear a 6.5, and I ordered them from Zulily, so I can't return them. I was able to squeeze my feet into them, and I can even walk, but who knows for how long...anyone know any tricks for stretching out shoes?

Supposedly, you can put on a pair of thick wool socks and heat the shoes up with a blow dryer while you flex your feet in different directions to gradually stretch them. I've never tried it though.

@Blergbot I used to work in a shoe boutique and I have doctored up so many shoes over the years!
1) Mist the whole front of the shoe with the spray. Get the inside, too. The leather should feel damp.
2) Spray the wooden stretcher with the spray.
3) Put the stretcher in the shoe like it's your foot. Turn the crank until the stretcher fills up the shoe and is snug. Then turn it again until you feel some resistance. The harder you turn, the more stress you put on the shoe and the more it will stretch. Don't force it-- make sure you don't see the leather separating from the sole or straining.
4) If you have two stretchers (which is best, but expensive): do both shoes at the same time, leave them overnight, and then take the stretchers out. Wear them around the house for an hour or two, then stuff them with paper to hold the shape.
5) If you only have one stretcher and are working with one shoe at a time: leave the shoe on the stretcher overnight. Stuff that shoe really full of paper or something to hold the shape (and if you can, wear that one shoe around the house for a bit) which you repeat the process on the other shoe. Wear the shoes as soon as you can, and keep them stuffed for a while after you wear them.
You may need to do this a couple of times for the stretch to really "take."

Ooh! Does this work on faux leather or only real?
Important question! Only real leather, sorry. Faux leather won't really stretch, it will just crack.

I bought these initially because I love them (they were on clearance for $10):
But then I got afraid of the heel height, so I bought these:
But with the way things are going, I will end up wearing these for my wedding (I better be kidding)
I tried on those Nina shoes in gold. They are really cute and surprisingly comfortable. If you have to wear those Orthopedic shoes, I say "bling" them out as obnoxiously as possible!

I bought the Nina shoes because of all the awesome reviews they had! I haven't even been able to try them on because of foot problems - I'm 'benched' for the next 2 weeks so everything can heal up (the doc thinks it's just a strain but there was one area that was iffy for a stress fracture). Thankfully no walking shoe/boot is needed at this point - and I am under orders to wear nothing but athletic shoes with proper arch support for the next 2 weeks (no heels, no flip flops, etc).
I looooooooooooove Nina shoes. I have a pair that I wore this weekend that I plan to wear for part of my wedding. This particular pair has been to several weddings already where I danced all night. I don't think I've ever owned a pair of Nina shoes that weren't comfortable for long-wear.
Also wedding contenders, I already bought them so I decided to wear them today.
@ashley8918 I love them and they are so sparkly! FI wants me to pick something I'll wear again...I think 6" high glitter shoes are totally good everyday wear...right? I think I'm going to have shoe changes, like some women have dress changes.

I had to be in one of those boot things once. It was a pain the in ass. It went with nothing, and it was summer so it was hot and I couldn't go swimming because I had to be in a stupid boot. I broke my foot skateboarding. I'm still not clear how I did it, I just landed wrong or something.
Re: S/O - Shoe Porn
But in terms of current favorite shoes? Strongly considering changing into these for the afterparty:
I'm currently in love with these shoes!

You'll never be subject to a cash bar, gap, potluck wedding, or b-list if you marry a Muppet Overlord.
I'm the fuck out.
