I have an ettiquette/registry question, ladies!
My FI sells Cutco, if you don't know, it's super high quality knives (kind of like Wuschtoff, sp?) except we think it's better, but maybe we're biased. Anyway, can only be purchased through sales rep, not sold in stores. Blah blah, long story that's really a sales pitch. Anyway! I REALLY REALLY want to register with them, b/c their pots and pans, and also the knife sets, are absolutely incredible, and even the flatware! I will just die if I have to get different dinner knives or serving flatware! (Okay, I won't die. But I'll be disappointed that I'll have to dish out the cash myself, cuz it's really pricey stuff.)
Here's the issue: As the sales rep, he would basically get credit (and therefore paid) for everyone's purchases of our bridal registry. I feel that's extremely tacky and taboo, he doesn't see a problem with it. There's really no way around it, so what do we do? Who's right? Do I have to live without my gorgeous skillet and serving spoons?
