    DH got me the ice cream maker attachment for my stand mixer and I'm having fun making ice cream with it. I like Chapman's checkerboard chocolate and vanilla, and cookie dough with brownie chunks. DH loves tiger tail but I think it's gross.

    Funny thing, butter brickle is my mom's favorite ice cream flavor and it's next to impossible to find on the coast of California.  There's a local ice cream place in my hometown that makes it, but they were located downtown so we only went maybe once a year.  Now they've moved by my parents' house so I bought my mom a pint of butter brickle ice cream after they opened and she was in heaven.

    @LadyMillil‌ , tiger tail does seem like a very distinct flavor that you'd either love or hate...FI is a very traditional flavors guy so not sure he'd go for it. @Viczaesar‌ come to think of it I haven't seen butter brickle around lately either here in NM...sometimes I wish they would stop trying to come up with new exotic flavors and just bring back the classics.

    @RebeccaB88‌ vanilla Heath and cherry Garcia are my mom's favorites--we kids got Dixie cups usually but sometimes she let me have some of her "special" flavors. Didn't care much for Cherry Garcia, but Heath bar crunch stayed with me. It's the first topping I ask for in frozen yogurt too :)

    I miss UDD from my Cincinnati days: their cherry cordial ice cream was amazing: think Cherry Garcia but with maraschino cherries and more chocolate. Heaven...

    I've made mint chocolate chip and found the secret: a combination of chocolate chips and Magic Shell ( I make it from scratch). The magic shell creates the smaller veins of chocolate while the chips give the bigger chunks.

    I miss having an ice cream maker!
