Yup I'm at work already. I'll try to stay involved with this thread but work has been crazy!!!! What are your plans for this weekend?

Today I'm leaving work early and heading down to see @swazzle and then we're going to see our friends Beyonce and Jay-Z.

Saturday I have to leave @swazzle's at the butt-crack of dawn (okay 9am) for a wax appointment that if I reschedule I can't get another appt until like September. That's not happening. Meanwhile, FI is going to pick up our kittens!!!!

Saturday night FI's friends are coming over with their kids and Great Dane. FI is smoking ribs in our smoker and I'm making mac and cheese in the crock pot.

Sunday I'm doing laundry and nothing else. OH WAIT menu tasting Sunday!!!!!! Then I might work on some wedding stuff, we'll see.

@buddysmom80 - Have fun this weekend!!

Today - My team lead told me I don't even need to come in today, but I have a few meetings and would like to get a little extra overtime (hey - I have that upcoming wedding thing, every little bit counts!). Tonight I have a therapy appointment.

Tomorrow - FI has to get an oil change in the AM. We are going to the Cleveland Indians game in the afternoon. I think we'll just chill in the evening.

Sunday - No plans!! Probably laundry and cleaning up around the house.

@dignity100 take all the OT you can! I was a little miffed the beginning of this year because my senior (before she went BSC) promised me "you can work allllll the OT you want!" Come to find out, she's taking all the OT that our dept is allowed. So she won't let any of us have it unless one of my CWs takes a day off then I have to come in and cover.

But.....with us switching to a new department that is 24/7/365 I will have the opportunity to work OT so I'm going to take it as it comes.

Have fun at the baseball game, I haven't been to one in forever!

This week has been crazy busy so tonight I'm just taking it easy at home. Tomorrow I'm going for a walk, then working for a bit, then going out to dinner to celebrate FI's new job.

Tonight H is working so after CrossFit I'm going to just be hanging out with Maddux and watching movies.

Tomorrow I'm going to a Food Truck Festival with some of the girls. I'm super excited because I've never been to one before and I've heard their food is awesome! Afterwards one of my friends from college is coming over to see the house and maddux and we are going to hang out the rest of the night.

Sunday is being deemed church, cleaning, and organizing day for our household.

@Southernpeach89 Have fun at the food truck festival! The BBQ Beach party is sort of like that, and that food is so yummy!

Today I'm working a half day and then BF and I are going to the Florida Georgia Line/Jason Aldean concert.

Tomorrow we have no plans so we will most likely relax and clean our disaster of a house. We might make a play date for Tessie too.

Sunday we are going to the Newport kite festival. Our whole family is packing lunch and coolers and we are going to post up on a hill and watch kites fly all day. Should be fun!

Tonight is usually date night for FI and I but he hasn't mentioned going out anywhere. We're trying to save money for the wedding/honeymoon/moving so we're trying to cut back out spending a lot on date nights. No idea what we'll do. I finished the first season of OITNB (!!!) and I cannot wait to start the second season!! I just wanna leave work right now to start the first episode to find out what happened.

TOMORROW IS OUR WEDDING SHOWER!!!! I am so excited! FI's parents are hosting it. They have an in-ground pool with a really nice patio area so the plan is to have the shower out there. We are suppose to get some thunderstorms tomorrow though so the shower may have to be moved inside. I really hope the rain holds off for a couple hours. I'm so excited and I get to wear my pretty new dress that I bought for it!!!!!

Sunday we have no plans other than church in the morning. If its nice out, I may see if FI wants to go fishing or have a picnic at the nature preserve.

I sadly have to go to my least favorite person today, the dentist. Staying the night at my parents in MA and won't get back until the Saturday barrel races. The rest of the weekend should be fun and relaxing though with lots of riding time. I finally got over my fear of cantering out in the big arena like a big girl so things have been good.

good morning, happy Friday!

I dropped H off at the airport at 6:30 this morning to pick up a rental car... he's driving back to NM with a couple of his cousins to attend another cousin's wedding. he'll be back late Monday night. it's the first time since we've been married that he's been away, so I'm a little nervous about staying alone. I've made lots of plans. I hope that by staying busy, I won't have much time to miss him!!

anyway, today I'm off at 2 PM so I'll go run and get all the groceries for this upcoming week, and then run home to do my Insanity work out. I think I'm going out to dinner with a group of ladies, but if it falls apart (we're having a hard time picking a place/time/etc.) I'll coerce my mom into getting dinner with me and maybe running by Homegoods.

tomorrow morning I'm getting up early to eat a Guatemalen breakfast with my dad. the line is crazy long, we're getting there early so we'll get a seat. it's one of the best restaurants around, YUM. tomorrow evening I'm eating with a girl friend at a pasta place. in between eating out (ha!), I plan to get in my Insanity work out (almost the end of Month 1, what??), clean up the house, and study for my PMP exam/class.

Sunday I have church and then a baby shower in the afternoon. actually, a "books and bows" shower... it's for a friend who already has a boy and is having a girl, so her sister is hosting a shower for just little girly items. I know it's probably looked down upon, but I'm excited and it'll be a lot of fun. I do need to go get a gift, so I'll probably do that Saturday!

@southernpeach89 I live near Minneapolis and sometimes my job would have me going downtown during lunch and the food trucks lining the streets smelled AMAAAAAZING!!!! I never got to eat at any because I was always on a strict time schedule, but I would love to hear about your experience!

My weekend should be pretty good, I am going to try to clean as much as possible today, before I GO BACK TO WORK!! (yayyy) and I have to run to my FMIL and Ex/future coworker's houses to help them clear their personal things off of their computers before they give notice at our old job.

Saturday I am doing a pedal pub around Northeast Minneapolis with FI's family and my mom. No plans Sunday, just soak in my last days off :-D

@buddysmom80, ugh mine is back in my hometown so I have to drive an hour there on I-91 which sucks 24/7. I really need to find a new one closer to me, but I just found a new general doc that I see next week so I'm taking one new doctor at a time.

@cocobellaf it sounds like you're going to keep yourself busy this weekend while H is away! I would be doing the same thing too!

@bremr what's a pedal pub? I'm assuming you ride bicycles and drink? If so, that's awesome!

@blackbird230 I'm going to tell you what, the hardest part of adulting for me was finding doctors that I liked. I'm 34 and FINALLY found a dentist that I liked. I used to go where my parents went to and had a bad experience with a cleaning and then I tried like 3 other dentists before I found this one. This guy I found off a billboard near the main road of my house (Route 5) because he does crowns in one day and I was like "hell yeah, I'm not doing a million appointments!" So trust me, take your time finding doctors and don't feel bad if you don't jive with one.

@buddysmom80, yea I'm really crossing my fingers on the new general doc. She came recommended from some women at the barn. Finding a new dentist will be tougher for me though since I absolutely despise them.

@buddysmom80 - that's the plan! we are normally one of those couples that do a lot of things together (grocery shopping, errands, working in the garden) so I know I'll feel a little "off" this weekend. it does look like my plans for tonight are falling apart, so I'm really debating between getting my mom to eat dinner with me or just getting my favorite pizza (H calls it herbivore pizza because it's not full of meat) or gyro salad and binging on Netflix... I could watch as many BBC mini-serials as I want! and I could get gelato! hmmmm....

@buddysmom80 - Can't wait to see kitty pics!! Also with the food truck, as long as you wear some kind of athletic shoes while visiting the food trucks and put on yoga pants when you get home, by wearing the workout clothes, it's kinda like you worked out, right?

It's definitely fun!! Except, I keep going with groups who think "let's fill ever last seat so we can save money per person" but not every seat has pedals. So if you fill it to the max, there about 5 people who are on the pub not pedaling. That is a lot of dead weight, and let me tell you, I had to pedal the ENTIRE time last time, while there were some full grown adult men who were sitting on the back of the pub lounging away.

@BreMR- We totally did one of those on my bachelorette in Savannah. We had a blast but it was a ton of dead weight lol. It was a bit chilly in October so it at least warmed us up haha.

Hiiiiii!

Today is my last day of work restriction, so it's my last day off before working all the hours next week, apparently. I never said my managers in retail were particularly smart (scheduling someone for a billion hours when they're getting off of medical work restriction seems like it could backfire, especially when you don't know what the surgery was for because...HIPPA. And my rights. And I'm not telling you I got surgery on my butt.)

I'm not sure what we're doing tonight. Probably being lazy bums.

Tomorrow and Sunday I work in the evening. Hopefully it'll go smoothly and I won't like pass out or something ridiculous (I'm feeling a ton better, so my only real concern is stamina since I've been vegging a lot lately.) Since I work both days AND Monday, we are going to try to not do too much during the day because of that stamina issue I mentioned above. I don't want to fall asleep at work either!

Tuesday, I'm off! But I'm getting my stitches taken out, so it's not a day in the park or anything. But that's one step closer to a normal human, so I'll take it! Plus the appointment is pretty early (8:45 am) so it'll be over fairly quickly, hopefully.

My weekends are uber boring because I don't have a normal person M-F job. Trust me, if I don't have a teaching job by August I will be applying to ALL the jobs because I suck at retail.

Tonight I think FI and I will be going back to his apartment, to continue cleaning, sorting, and packing. We've got several boxes of kitchen stuff to donate, several to bring back, and some that is just ... not good. The living room is mostly done, just needs to be repacked so boxes close, and the upstairs bedrooms are as done as they can be before the big stuff he's getting rid of goes. There'll still be stuff to work on.

Tomorrow morning I'm going to sleep in and it will be glorious. FI is getting a pickup and someone with muscle, and he's getting the big stuff out of his apartment. Most of it, unfortunately, does have to go to the landfill, but he will be bringing over things like a dresser, maybe a coffee table, a telescope (he's got weird stuff), etc. Just try to get the major stuff out of there quick before the end of the month ... once that's done, we'll go back to his place and take as many trips of the smaller boxed stuff across town as possible.

Sunday looks the same as Saturday, minus the pickup and plus church.

@BreMR HIPPA doesn't apply to the boards, duh. I had an infection drained and a drainage tube put in (that's going to be there for several more weeks). The underlying cause of said infection is a skin disorder that I've had forever - this infection was just particularly unruly. It's gross, but I feel a ton better.

@CocoBellaF our 3 month anniversary is tomorrow
