We all have "weird" things. What are yours?

Mine is with weather. While I love sunny days, I am almost happier when I get up and it's doing something outside. Today, it was raining on my way to work, and we're supposed to have thunderstorms later, and I can't wait. I LOVE waking up in the winter when it's snowing - I don't like it when it's bitterly cold, but I just love when it's snowing. Last week we had severe thunderstorms with super high winds and hail, and I just watched it out the window. Is that weird?

I don't EVER like snow of any kind but I love a good thunderstorm. The one we had last night was pretty puny but I still enjoyed it. I like when it rains on a day when I have nothing to do. It makes me feel less lazy for laying on the couch and having a Netflix marathon.

Does it make me weird because when I walk by another woman, I immediately look down at her feet to see what kind of shoes she's wearing? I just really like shoes.

I do the same thing with purses...and eyebrows, which is weird. I'm weird about eyebrows.

I love watching it rain or snow, as long as I don't HAVE to go out in it. I especially love when it's snowing around Christmas when I'm having a baking day.

My weird thing is how much I loath metal paper clips. The scratching noise that they make when you pull them off paper sends a shiver up my back lol any time I get a metal paper clip on something at work I throw it out and replace it with one of those colourful coated ones.

Editted because I truly cannot type today...ugh.

@GoldenPenguin -I kind of like that stuff too. I enjoy just watching the craziness go on outside while I'm nice, safe, and warm inside.

I think seasons have natural smells. I like to go outside and smell the air when it's Fall, winter, spring, summer...it makes me happy. I can't even describe what those smells are but it just puts me in a great mood!

THIS! I especially think the air totally smells different before it's about to snow and people think I'm crazy.

I only like the first snow of the winter. Other than that, snow can go away. I LOVE LOVE LOVE hot, humid weather. I can't think of anything else right now.

I'm almost never hungry for breakfast but I force myself to eat it to give me energy and keep up my metabolize.

I also love hot humid weather. I think it keeps my skin looking young and I need that at over 30!

I always feel more positive if I wake up and it's a bright sunny morning. It definitely improves my day.

I sleep better when it's raining.

I like it when my bedroom is super cold at night so I can snuggle under all the blankets. I don't like sleeping with just a sheet or nothing covering me. I love my down comforter!

I love the bedroom to be super cold at night too @LaPeanut1018 with a big comforter over me but then I stick a leg usually outside of the comforter...regulating my temperature? No idea.

I used to have to do things in threes. Everything. Now I just have to do it with kisses from H.

I can't stand eating supper if the kitchen is messy. I usually clean while I cook. I'm looking forward to our new home which has a huge kitchen that can NOT be opened to the dining room (stairway in between). I know open kitchens are all the rage but sometimes I want my private cooking space and a space to leave the dishes and not think about them when I am eating if I haven't cleaned while cooking.

lol to all the eyebrow critics. I'm currently trying to grow mine back in more because my little sister got it in my head that I have overly thin ones. So far no luck. So sorry for my over tweezed brows. Bangs help.

Is it weird that I love to stick white things like paper or other nails under the clear spots in my nails to make them appear white for a moment? Like over and over again. I could spend hours doing that.

I love thunderstorms, we had some pretty good ones comes through last night. I do not like the snow however.

I always notice the clothes people wear and sometimes I judge them. Especially at work when people wear not appropriate work clothes :-)

I get really really anxious when the weather goes back and forth between being warm and chilly. I put away my winter clothes when it starts to get warm and then it gets cold again for like a week and I have a meltdown because I put all my stuff away already!!!!!

I agree!! I love the smell of 'Fall' (which I'm sure is the decaying leaves). There also is a certain scent in the air for the first snow or first warm day of spring (when the sun is warm but it's still slightly cool and the snow is melting).

I also admire shoes, though I mostly wear athletic shoes.

I wish I could put some of my clothes away in the off season but living in Texas is ridiculous! 85 one day and 45 the next. Plus my office is about 60* in the summer so I always bring a sweater to work with me.

I used to sniff H too much. He asked me to stop back when we were dating and I think I've modified that behavior quite a bit.

Seasons have smells. That's not a weird quirk--it's just a FACT. Especially fall and winter. Winter smells like fireplaces/chimneys.

@twodimes I always have a blanket on me when I'm on the couch! It's one of the reasons why I have to keep the house cool in the summer. I have my own designated throw blanket.

Hmmm...weird things: I wash one side of my face at a time because I need to be able to see out of one eye at all times. I don't know why - no one has ever attacked me from behind mid-face-wash, but when they do..... I'll be ready.

I love the rain. I love the snow. In Texas, it snows/ices rarely, so it's a treat for me. I love the cold. I clearly live in the wrong part of the country.

@Peaseblossom55 - I do that too, especially at work. There are a few people who take our "business casual" dress code way too casually!

@Hummingbird125 - I don't go that far, but when I wash my face I keep my eyes open as long as possible, and then rinse my eye area right away...just in case someone managed to sneak up behind me!

I also eat snacks in pairs, I like to chew evenly on both side of my mouth...so like if I'm eating pretzels I chew one of the left side and the next one on the right side. I also try to eat pieces that are a similar size together, and I usually save the most seasoned/salted/frosted pieces of whatever I'm eating until last.

@GoldenPenguin I was in Albany from Thursday to Sunday this past week, and was so mad that I didn't get to see a good thunderstorm after the storms that had been going through that area all week! We saw a little lightning while pushing back from the gate in Albany on Sunday around 5 pm.

So basically, yes, I LOVE thunderstorms, especially those crazy severe NY ones in the summer. And I also do love watching it snow as long as I don't have to drive anywhere. Sadly, neither of those things happen in San Diego

. BF calls me a radar junkie because I always have it open to see if a storm will hit (and if I can watch the lightning!).

ETA: I also agree that seasons have smells (but not in San Diego, because we only have 1 season). And I am obsessed with trains and airplanes. I always have been, and BF always asks me if he wants to know what type of plane we are on. Most of the time I tell him even if he doesn't ask. I'm a nerd lol.

Like @Hummingbird125, I always fear that Norman Bates is going to show up mid-face wash, so I always scurry through that. Any other time I'm totally cool with a serial killer showing up while I'm showering or whatever, but NOT. DURING. MY FACE WASH.

I have to dance to the theme songs of my favorite shows every time they come on. I have whole routines for Big Bang Theory and Modern Family.

I have to have a glass or bottle of water with me everywhere. Don't care where or for how long, it stresses me out if I don't have water nearby.

When people are wearing hoodies, I have an almost irresistible impulse to fix the hood when it's turned inside out. It drives me bananas but I don't want to creep people out by just walking up and adjusting their clothes, so I've gotten very adept at distracting myself from this. It still bugs me, though.

My number 1 weird at the moment: I went to the doctor today and my stitches are staying in for another 2 weeks. That will leave them in for oh, over a month. I really like the surgeon though, even though I don't usually like doctors so at least we started in the right place.

I love it super duper cold when sleeping. H doesn't, so I sometimes sneak out and turn the AC lower if I can't sleep lol. Oooooops

Like @CLoGreenEyes I need water/gatorade readily available everywhere I go (and usually just bring it with me) - after my c. diff incident of last summer, dehydration is terrifying for me.

I DO THIS TOO!! FI can sleep through anything, so I sneak out of bed and lower it after he's snoring. I just have to be stealthy about putting it back to the "regular" temperature before he notices, haha

So I'm eating lunch and scrolled through really fast. The two things that popped out were sperm and shoes.

I heart you guys. I'm ok if that makes me weird.

For the record, I check out all women's shoes. I'm obsessed with shoes, so I like to pretend it's normal.

I also like cloudy rainy days. If I could figure out a way to never work on them, I would crawl up on the couch with a blanket and a book and be the happiest person ever.

@Blue & White H likes it really cold at night too especially in the summer. I have a pretty low tolerance for cold so the summer is usually what we consider the thermostat wars :-)
