BORED BORED BORED

image

Wednesday is dragging.

I think we're looking at mattresses tonight! Beds could be here as early as next week so we want to be prepared. YAY for new mattresses!

What's up with the rest of y'all?

Re: BORED BORED BORED

  • I'm bored, too. My husband and I are watching TV. We ran errands all day, so I could use a nap, but it's too late for that.

  • I was doing a pretty good job of focusing on studying up until about 1.5 hours ago. I went to Target and it was the most exciting thing I've done in like a week. I just got home, had a snack, and now it's time for another round of How Much Law Can JC Fit Inside Her Skull. Fi and I are going to Spin class tonight so I'm looking forward to that.

  • About to go to our last dinner in Bar Harbor. I am sad for the vacation to be over tomorrow, but I will be very happy to see the animals when we get home.

  • bored here, too.  I just had a conference call where the topic was what is each of us on a committee going to say about promoting our upcoming event.

Really.  We needed a 30 minute conference call for that?

  • First day at my new job! I now work in a nursing home in a dementia ward, doing mental health like thingies. I got hit on by a man who I swear is 105 years old and I'm really excited to work!

I was too busy to eat all day so I have a really bad headache and my stomach hurts bad from finally eating. And I had to get a bunch of shots today. :(

  • I'm bored and cranky.   I even signed out of work early I was so bored.

Plus a ranger finally called about that fateful rafting trip.   I was finally in a good place with that and then after 55 minutes of talking to him I'm back down.

Oh and our new housekeeper called yesterday to cancel and said she would come today.  She hasn't arrived yet.   I really liked her, but if by the 2nd week she is canceling I'm wondering if she is the right person.

    First world problems.

Good news -  we decided we will start looking at houses this fall.    I'm so excited after 3 years of moving around we finally are at a place we want to make a little more permanent.

  • @AddieCake Whatcha watchin'? Is it good?

@JCbride2015 you HAVE to be close to done though, right? I think I saw somewhere that you had less than two weeks at this point? Or I could be crazy... Also - Spin class... *shudders* not my favorite. Course, I'm that one that everyone else in the class laughs at as I fall out/off/down (as the case may be) and just lay there like a pudgy blob, ahahaha.

@beethery Bar Harbor? Where is that? Was it fun? I understand completely, I always wish I could stay another two days when I go on vacation, but my cat is happy to see me. That and when it's dinnertime are the only times he is, hahaha.

  • I am at work, but I've been bored all day. Waiting for the DA to call me back on a case, but he's giving me the cold shoulder and I've really got nothing else going on right now. It's my night to cook, and I was planning on stuffed peppers...but then I started pinterest-ing ideas for dinner and have given up on productivity!

Hahahaha, that's how I feel internally most of the time.  I love a really hard workout though, and it's not a fancy class like SoulCycle where everyone looks like models.  This is our neighborhood gym so nobody minds my pudge!

I have 5 DAYS left.  I travel to Albany on Monday, and take the bar Tue/Wed/Thu of next week.  I can't wait to be finished.  It's like it's the end of a marathon and right now I'm just crawling to drag myself over the finish line.  I'm simultaneously terrified and elated it's so close.

ETA: good news is Tuesday is the hardest day (NY state essays).  After that it's smooth sailing with easier topics on the other two days.  I just need to get through Tuesday unscathed.

  • Counting down the seconds until I get to leave this godforsaken place (work). Bored out of my wits. And I keep reaching for the Heath bars. Not helpful with a dress fitting tomorrow. (!!) Crap, need to call FMIL about that.

And now I really want stuffed peppers but FI doesn't like them. (weirdo)

  • @lolo883 Heath Bars are my absolute favorite. You can hand some on over here if you want, I would be happy to get those out of your way. I don't have to fit into anything in particular tomorrow :)

Mer.  I'm cranky today too.  Construction on the unit next to us started early today (JUMPED out of bed because it sounded like they were coming through the wall), so I think I just started off on the wrong foot.

Lynda, is this the last "statement" (right word?) you'll have to make?  Sending T & P your way.

I doubt it.  The victim was a top 20 litigator in CA.  Specializing in wrongful deaths.   I have no doubt they will try and go to court.  Being one of the people who witnessed the accident and assisted in the first aid I'm sure I will be called again for another statement.

However, with all the outdoor sports and small businesses here,  CO is known for up holding waivers.  So who really knows.    I do not think there was any negligence on the part of the guides or company, but I'm not a lawyer.

  • Yay, the housekeeper came.   I was going to take the dogs out.  I guess it's too hot because they both looked at mye like I'm crazy.  The bulldog just seriously looked up, put his head down and started snoring.

I guess it's more knotting for me.

Bar Harbor is in Maine. It was a 6 hour drive from our house, so kind of a haul. It's been very relaxing and fun. I have good restaurant and bar recs for this area now. We're leaving in the morning. But not before we go to some kind of lumberjack show tonight, should be interesting lol

My mom sent me 'crime scene' pictures this morning after she checked in on the cats. Orange Menace has been breaking into the pantry and digging out little dog treats and playing with them all over the house. FMIL said D has been waking her up the last few mornings at 3am with her trademark care bear stare and jingling her collar as much as possible.

  • We got home last night, so I'm busy doing laundry.  And I realized I had a hair appointment today and I just chopped off about 8 inches!!   I'm kinda excited about it, but it's weird again to be missing all of my hair.  I went from about waist length to just below shoulders, so it's still long.  I also had a blunt cut before, and added some soft layers in the bottom couple of inches, to give it some movement.  I've got practice tonight, so I get to show it off pretty quick, and I can't wait for DH to get home and see it too.

  • Right now, I'm watching a nasty thunderstorm roll in.

Hope I don't lose power. Terrible me is going to justify this as, oh well if I start working on a digital page, we'll lose power and I'll get upset, therefore I should just keep knotting. And maybe drink red wine so I don't have to chill white wine.

That sounds like a great plan.

Aww. One of the hummingbirds is taking refuge from the weather by chilling on my string lights on our patio. Once the storm passes I need to refill the feeders.

  • We found mattresses! I don't know if we will buy from there - they were soo high - but I know which one I want. It was squishy and I shall call it squishy and it will be my squishy. Hahaha. My dad found his too and it was less comfortable (to me) than a pile of rocks. Different strokes I guess.

There are a lot of bored peeps on here! Usually I try to not be bored but it's hard when I never bring books to work and my boss makes fun of me when I color on the coloring sheets I technically bought for when clients bring their kids. (He's a family law attorney so I end up babysitting a lot more often than I expected.)
