with specials to visit Necker Island. Now I just want to go away instead of work.

How is your day? Where is your dream getaway spot?

  • I'd much rather be in Cancun or Puerto Rico right now.

  • Hawaii always does it for me.  Childhood memories I guess.  If we ever buy property somewhere, when we win the lottery, it will be in Hawaii somewhere.  Something we can rent out and then retire to later.

  • I'm currently working on a report for a development project in Kona, Hawaii and it's depressing the hell out of me to see clouds outside.

H and I are trying to plan a trip to Germany to visit friends early next year, so that's distracting too.

  • At this point, I'd say anywhere! But, some of my top spots are Lizard Island (already been, but love it), Laucala Island, The Brando, and a few different resorts in the Maldives!

  • I would take anywhere with a beach and an umbrella and a drink.
  • I'm dying to take H to Paris in the fall, but we'll see how expensive the kitchen renovations get this month.

Dream place unlimited budget it Bora, Bora/Moorea.

    Anniversary

  • I pretty much want to travel all over new zealand. I'm trying to train myself so I can do the nine walks! I'm hoping to build up my savings for it, I'll get there one day.

  • Kauai. One of the Parrish Collection condos by Poipu specifically.

Give me a tropical beach, the sounds of the waves, and a cold drink and I'd be happy.

  • It's not a "dream" vacation, but we're going camping in the Poconos this weekend and I can't wait!

I would LOVE to go back to the South of France. Or anywhere warm with ocean. As long as there's wine and brie.

  • I would love to be in Italy right now!

  • I was supposed to be in Yellowstone on our honeymoon right now.

Instead I'm at work staring out the window...

My cousin is going to Bora Bora/Moorea on her HM. I am super jealous!
  • Maybe this Texas heat is getting to me, but I'd love to be in Alaska right now!

I was pretty proud of myself last night.  DH & I went to a quote-along of "Animal House" last night.  They started off with a beer chugging contest (winner gets 2 free tickets to a movie).  I entered (because who doesn't like beer?!).  When it was obvious that I wasn't going to win (the guy I was competing against definitely knew what he was doing), I slowed down and enjoyed my craft beer.  Mmmmm.

H is a pilot and obsessed with Flying Wild Alaska, so I got stuck watching a few episodes last night. Some of the scenery is so surreal.

It's definitely on our must visit eventually list! H wants to get stationed near Fairbanks though, and I think I'd lose it if we were there year round.

  • Alaska is totally on our to-do list. H wants to live there like those homesteaders on TV. Dude is bat shit crazy. We're planning on moving from suburban Chicago to western Montana. That'll be homestead-y enough for me.

Your H and mine can go live there and you and I will hang out somewhere that's not there.

  • okay, so The Love Boat is on TV right now. I took a Mediterranean cruise on the Pacific Princess (same boat used on the show) with my BFF and parents. One of my best vacations. Now I miss my BFF and traveling.

  • I change my mind about Hawaii. Earthquakes today, hurricane hitting tomorrow, another on the way.

I'll hang out here for a bit longer.
