  • I am less than enthused about my spinach salad lunch today. Makes working even harder :(

  • Spinach salad sounds yummy, Rosie.  I'll trade you some shake n bake chicken for it.

  • A co-worker of mine just came in and apologized to me for being incredibly rude and disrespectful to me in a conversation.  Granted he was rude about it awhile ago, but apparently it was finally pointed out to him by a work friend that I hadn't spoken to him in a long time, and there was probably a reason for it.   Holy wow.  This guy is crazy mean and has it in for any woman who works with him.
I cannot believe he actually said the word "sorry".
Shock is the only word I have right now.

I hate when I am not excited about my lunch.  I get so excited about food, it's ridiculous.
  • hey look I'm back! TOLD YOU!

Habs, things like that make me happy that my mother has a size smaller foot than me and lives in another state. That would drive me BONKERS.
  • Wowwwww Rosie.

Special K: EEEE!  I was so excited the day we got our marriage license!  Unfortunately MA has a two-day waiting period, so H had to drive back two days later to get it (we couldn't leave with it that day), but STILL!  So exciting!

I would definitely trade but you will be sad when you realize that my spinach salad is just spinach.. literally a bowl full of greens and a smidge of dressing. Thats it. :(

  • I'm having a spinach salad today too.  But I threw in some blue cheese crumbles, tomatoes and grilled chicken.  :)  I can't wait to eat mine.

    That sounds amazing.  I want.

  • I love blue cheese.  I've been doing feta on my salads for awhile, but last week I picked up some blue cheese because it was cheaper, and it was delicious.

  • What do you guys have to do to get a marriage license down there?

Ours was super anti-climactic.  We filled out a form, I took in our identification, they gave me a license.

LD - I know, right?  She's funny though.  I know she loves those shoes, I should keep them in my room where they are harder to get at.

  • I hate when you open the blue cheese container and you smell feet.  I always question my desire to still eat it, but my tastebuds win out every single time.
  • Morning! It is so hot outside already I was sure I was going to melt on my way to work today. But I'm so excited because I'm going straight to the airport after work to go to Florida!

Rosie, I think I understand how you feel with this friend. I had a huge falling out with my roommate last year and we just completely stopped talking and I was totally ok with that. Then when I got engaged she started trying to be all nice to me again sending me texts (wtf? you live in the next bedroom over, just talk to me) about how happy she was for me. To the outside observer it looked like she was just being nice, but to me it was all very loaded and pissed me off.

  • That's exactly what we had to do to get ours, Habs.

Habs - we had to get a blood test - they check for the syph, but nothing else. Then we had to go to the Courthouse where they asked us where our parents are from, what schools we went to, what education we recieved and stuff like that. Then we had to pay $30 (I think) and then we picked up our license the next day.
  • I'm going to be so annoyed if I have this cat allergy attack all day long.  All it's going to do is make think about what could have been.  :(
  • I believe here in KY they ask you if you are cousins or related when you apply for the marriage certificate.  I could be wrong about that because I haven't done it yet, but I've heard many others say they were asked.

  • Stacks, it's like french onion soup.  It doesn't smell that great, but man is it good.

Habs, that's about what we had to do. Plus pay them some money.  They gave us the license, and we just had to wait at least three days after getting it to get married.

  • Good morning.  I'm up super early today, so I figured maybe if I get some knotting in early then I will actually get some work done when my work day starts.

  • We both went to the courthouse and filled out papers and paid $50.  Then we raised our right hands and said, "I promise we're not under the influence and not related".
  • In Virginia we just had to fill out a form, show some ID, swear we told the truth on our forms, paid a fee and left with our license. It was so easy and it took about 10 minutes.

I love blue cheese. H hates it and won't even let it in the house unless I sneak it in. Something about not eating mold, which is basically what blue cheese is. I feel the same way about mushrooms and not wanting to eat fungus.

Yeah. And they don't like it if you and your fiance happen to be smart asses and screw with them. It delays the process a bit. But really, you just fill out a form, show your ID and pay something to them. Super simple.

  • I'm scared about getting our marriage license. The rules are different for Florida residents and non-residents and I'm not really sure what they will categorize us as. I'm hoping we count as non-resident, because otherwise we won't be in FL early enough to get a license and we will have a fake wedding.

Also, I think it costs like $90 there.
  • I hated mushrooms until about 3 months ago.  Now I can't get enough of them.
  • Oh yeah, that too - we had to say we aren't related and we weren't drunk or anything. Also I had to say that I was willingly applying for a marriage license and no one was making me. That was odd.
  • Not sure what I will do today.  Right now I am waiting for someone to get back to me that has a wedding card box for sale at a garage sale - I want to come by and look at it and make her an offer.

Dan is supposed to get the stitches out from the molar they pulled last week.  Fun...

I was like that with tomatoes! I've been eating them like crazy! I still can't do fungus though.
  • H went and got ours on his day off without me even there. Which was odd to me but you only need one party there in the state of Maryland I guess. Easy peasy.
