    If you pay 7% (or anything over 0.00%) to get something that you would otherwise get for free, you are an idiot. 

    It really is that simple.

    And for any lurkers out there wanting to set up a cash registry.  This is what happens.  Your guests will get pissed at you for asking for money, thus they will either give you a boxed gift or nothing at all.
