  • HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!

I'm so excited my girls come home tonight and we are FINALLY back to our normal schedule. We've got Open House tonight, my little sister is moving to UF tomorrow, church on Sunday and school on Monday!

@Swazzle - I'm really happy to hear you don't need a boot! Now if we could just get excellent results for the other issues, that would be great. Oh, and rightthissecondpleaseandthankyou.

@Swazzle @csousa1 @GoldenPenguin @buddysmom80 @hummingbird125 I'm SO jelly of your g2g this weekend, WHY DO I HAVE TO LIVE IN THE SOUTH?!

@LaPeanut1018 - YAY FOR BRIDAL SHOWER!!!!!! Have so much fun!

  • @swazzle Yay for no surgery! I hope you get everything else sorted out too!

Like a lot of you ladies, I will be doing some cleaning this weekend. I'm almost done going through all of my college stuff and throwing things out. I've almost condensed everything down to two big rubbermaid bins instead of 8 containers.

I'm also partially freaking out because I cut off like a foot of my hair this morning and now it is crazy short! I love it, but I haven't had it short forever!

  • oh, I saw my neurologist yesterday.  we discussed the idea of over-exercising when I was on Insanity and my migraines.  it's now been 9 days since my last migraine, and I feel great.  I'm also sleeping up to 3 hours at a time instead of an hour or less.  my neurologist adamantly agreed that 60-90 minutes of high-intensity, vigorous exercise is too much and definitely contributed (if not directly caused) my chronic migraines for the past 7-8 months.

he told me to keep it at or under 45 minutes of exercise a day, and not high-intensity all the time.  I have to stay on the preventive migraine meds for at least 6 months, and he said it would probably take a few weeks until my body started to finish healing and begin regulating itself again.  so hopefully by the end of the year I will be sleeping normally and feeling 100% again.

he doesn't think he needs to see me before then... so that is all good news!!
  • @Ollie08 I would love to do some shopping but I'm saving for my wedding so any "extra" money I have goes to that, the necessities and paying down my credit card. I guess I really should treat myself a little though!

@CocoBellaF That is good news! Glad you will start feeling better again!

@LivLeighton Let's see if I can get these to post. I haven't done pictures here before.

I took a before pic of the back of my hair after I washed it yesterday, but didn't think to take a front pic. So the most recent picture I have that shows the front length is from graduation. The back of my hair was about two inches above the waist of my jeans.
  • @LivLeighton Thanks! It definitely feels a lot healthier and a lot lighter! I can't wait to try curling it now that it is more manageable!
  • Oh spectacular. FI and I got rear-ended at a stoplight over the lunch break. The car took minimal damage, FI is fine (probably sore neck tomorrow, though), but my neck is pretty darn messed up already. Ow ow ow. If I can move tomorrow, weekend plans continue as scheduled; otherwise chiropracter on Monday for me.
  • @KeptInStiches I feel like you should be going to the doctor right now!

  • @lavenderfields13, wish I had time. I have samples that need mixing, this job transitioning thing is for the birds. It was a very low-speed collision so I think I can maybe cross my fingers on natural healing over the weekend.
  • @KeptInStitches - Ow!  Glad you guys are relatively ok though.  Feel better!
  • @KeptInStitches‌ boo on your accident!'

@CocoBellaF‌ I bet it's a huge relief to have answers to your headaches!

@ all if the g2g ladies I'm so jealous! I hope you'll share pics!!!

Today has been a bit trying. Someone very close to me has decided to get themselves treated for an rx pill addiction. It's a great relief to know he's going to get help it's very sad to me to know now how bad it was getting.

So tonight I will have wine and pizza and forget about life for a bit.

Hugs to you. I hope your friend/family member is able to get the help he needs. Addiction is such a scary thing and it's hard to watch people you care about go down that path.

Thank you, it has been a few years of watching this very close family member go down this path... I am so incredibly relieved he's finally getting help, it's very promising that he's doing it on his own without outside force.
