I'm currently battling a slumlord over a roach problem while unemployed (just moved to a new state with a job that didn't transfer) and a friend suggested I do a Go Fund Me. I said no, because it feels really stupid and shitty to beg for cash when I've got Go Fund Mes on my FB page for people with their teeth rotting out and a guy dying of cancer and leaving his wife and toddler with the medical bills.

And here this lady wants people to fund her unpaid vacation??? Perspective, get some.

Edit: not that it's a contest, but holy shit the balls on that bride.

Where is the shame? How is anyone not completely embarrassed to beg from their friends? Or are they so dense and delusional that they actually don't think they're panhandling?

ETA: No offense to actual panhandlers who might have better manners than this couple

"I have no shelter" certainly seems like a better reason to ask for money than "No one is paying me to not work".

I don't know her personally, it's more like a friend of a friend thing but as far as I can tell no one has called her out. I get being really excited about going on a honeymoon. BF and I aren't even engaged yet and when we talk wedding we are usually more into talking about a fun honeymoon than the wedding knowing we can't actually afford both. So we know we have to choose between the big wedding or the big honeymoon...crazy concept isn't it? Some people really do think not only that they can have everything but that they SHOULD have everything, regardless of how they get it.
