Do you cry at weddings?

Re: Do you cry at weddings?

  • Once, when I was a BM, her parents threw a path after the RD. It was super windy and I got a bit of dirt in my eye and it scratched the surface. I spent her whole ceremony dabbing at my eye with a kleenex cos every time I blinked it hurt and watered. I was pissed that people would actually think I was crying and we can't have people thinking I'm a softy!! ;) I didn't cry at my wedding either

  • I only cry when I get mad/frustrated. I used to get really bad laryngospasms too so I'd get upset more because I felt like I was choking.

I cry at weddings, when I hear certain Christmas carols and if a pet dies in a movie.

  • Yup, I even teared up at my SO's friend's who I had never even met!

  • I'm a crier. I cry for everything. I've cried at commercials before (I think the most recent time was during the Super Bowl - the budweiser one with the puppy. . . . ). But as far as weddings go - I've only ALMOST cried at one.

  • My friends and I were just talking about this!  I'm not emotional, but I'm worried I will cry at the ceremony.

My one friend ALWAYS cries at weddings, and she said mine will be no exception.

My other friend I was talking to lost her mother when we were 17.  I told her I am going to cry when I look over and see all of her family there and her mother isn't there.  She helped raise me.  My friend said she will cry too...  I said I wanted to honor her mother in a small speech and maybe place a hand painted craft she gave me when I was little at the table.  My friend thought this would be nice and summed it it as "A happy kind of sadness, you know?"

    There will be tears....

  • I teared up a little at my sister's wedding but in general no. I very rarely cry when I'm happy though. I did cry when I saw my oldest nephew for the first time but I'm not sure if that was a happy cry or a if it was I'm relieved it is over cry since I was in the room with my sister when she was in labor.

Stevie Wonder Christmas songs absolutely MURDER me.

    Also all these same things.

  • I don't think I've ever cried at a wedding. At my own I teared up a little bit during the last line of my vows, and during one line H said. The funny thing is now I can't repeat the one line of H's vows that was really really touching without welling up.
