Money dance songs?

Re: Money dance songs?

  • I found a TON of places that have comments stating the money dance is super tacky and rude, but then again, I'm not sitting here with blinders on.
  • I think it's funny you are citing google as a source. Google also says there are all sorts of problems with my baby/pregnancy because I'm having my abdominal cramps. My doctor has looked me over and says I'm fine. Who should I believe?

Tacky and rude ideas? okay, my whole family must be tacky and rude then. a lot of my family did what im doing for my wedding.
Yup, they must be then.  Just because that's the way you've always done it, doesn't mean it it's not incredibly rude and tacky.  That's a shame, but it's not too late for you to learn from it and show them how a wedding reception should be properly hosted and set a good example.  Show them what it's like when their host(ess) cares about them and makes sure they don't have to hit up the Booze Barn on their way to the wedding or go find an ATM to get cash for their lap dollar dance.  Maybe once they see how refreshing it is to have a host(ess) who genuinely cares about providing for their guests and ensuring their comfort, they'll pay it forward and start hosting parties where guests are treated as guests and not a cash machine.  Then you'll all get to enjoy the benefits for the rest of your days.

Are you expecting?  Congrats (if so)!

  • Since im obviously a troll, i'll take my R. They are usually dissapoinyed ENESS elsewhere. I've used google for a lot of wedding help and not one thing stating a money dance being rude. I sure as fuck won't be back on this site.

Glad you found other places that will validate shitty ideas.  Have fun with that.  See ya!

Fiancee here. Shifty ideas. Sorry its not your wedding. Its ours. You guys are just a bunch of bitches aren't you. This place seems like its got a lot of snobby stuck up girls on it. in both of our familes they love the money dance and are usually disappointed if a wedsing they are attending doesnt have it.

Then go ask them what the hell to do about it and stop calling people bitches.

And I don't buy that a girl ran to her fiancé because someone was being mean to her on the internet.

Convenient that you "both" have no idea that the male version is fiance, not fiancee. And that you both are terrible at typing.

By the way, no one has ever been disappointed that they weren't harassed to give more money to someone. I promise.
  • And again, if dancing with your guests is so important, just dance with them. If they want to give you money for it, they will. Don't make it a whole event. The fact that you're not willing to take these suggestions tells me you're money grubbers.

    We love being money grubbers
  • Omg your boyfriend came to a wedding forum to defend your honor?

This is better than the time the girl's mom came on to say "play nicely".

@princess146 - siccing your "fiance" on us and calling us bitches is not okay. Name-calling is a violation of the Terms of Service. Tread carefully.

I now see you posted the same thing in another thread. You have now been warned twice.

My husband is on a sports forum. I wonder if I need to log on and defend him when people don't agree with him. Oh wait, no. We are both grown adults.

Glad to help!  Although I have considered making a troll account on my husbands sports forum to just screw with him.

What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

You're not the first person to hijack his fi's account. All the others were banned within 24 hours. You could have your very own account and post under your own screen name.

Nobody has asked about a registry, I havn't sent invites yet. i'm not asking my guests for gifts because me and my fiancée have everything we need.
I'm a little late to the party...but if you have everything you need, why do you need to ask for more money?

Look, asking your guests for financial contributions in any way, shape, or form is off putting.  Why not do something sweet like thoughts for the couple, or sweet sayings.  Things you can keep and look back on and cherish.

I would think that would be FAR more meaningful than potentially pissing off people at your wedding by asking them for money.  It would also serve the same purpose of the 'tradition' just without the tacky...

  • Silence.  Because it isn't happening at all.  #etiquettepolice
  • Nothing says class like a good money dance.
