Please throw out that pee stick

Re: Please throw out that pee stick

  • This thread makes me super happy that my pregnant friends are NOT overshareres. None of them even annouced itheir pregnancy until the second trimester and the announcement was pretty much it on the baby front (minus maybe 2 look how big I am pictures) until they had the baby. Then they post lots of pictures of the baby (all cleaned up and clothed) which I enjoy much more than pictures of something they peed on.

I'm guessing you've all heard of the blog STFU parents but if you havent I highly suggest checking it out. It's hilarious!

  • I loathe people who post pee stick photos. Loathe them with a burning rage of 1000 suns. In fact, I think I once reported someone's photo to FB as inappropriate. Then unfriended them.

That seems a little over the top. It's gross, unnecessary, and totally AWish but it's not offensive.

So this isn't necessarily gross, and I'm not sure why it bothers me, but I get really stabby over people posting their ultrasound pics on Facebook. Again, I'm not sure why I have such an issue with it and maybe I'll feel differently when I get pregnant, but it drives me NUTS.

But to comment on the topic at hand, I would flip tf out if someone put their pee stick near me. Sickos
When your picture is of your baby's face. It is beyond strange when I post on FB and a bunch of babies comment like "Yeah! Cocktail time! " and "I want to sit on that man's face, lol".

Yeah, why the hell do parents do this?!  It is your profile not your babies!  Do parents lose all self identity when they pop a kid out or something?

  • @Maggie0829, my friend did.  It has been 2 years and she hasnt gotten her identity back.  I even begged her not to be one of those mom's that loses herself in her child and that didn't happen....

That is just so sad to me.

  • My friend just had a baby and literally was the most annoying person on earth.  She just kept saying how she was 3 months pregnant, how can anyone expect her to work or clean. She has a hard enough time bathing herself!  Then, my favourite... her mom told her to stfu and stop acting like a child. Her response: MOM YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND!! YOUVE NEVER BEEN THROUGH THIS!
    OMG you're joking!  ROFLCOPTER!!!!!
    I wish I was lol

Ditto. It's not healthy for parents or their children for them to completly lose their idendity once they have kids.
