I have a serious online shopping addiction. I love all the weird stuff you can buy that you probably wouldn't have access to without the internet. This skull chalkboard is probably my fave thing I bought. The one in the link is black but mine is pink. I don't think they make the pink anymore.

"I'm not a rude bitch.  I'm ten rude bitches in a large coat."

  • Hmmm. I buy all my sex toys online.

I like buying vintage glassware online too. And jewelry. And shoes. Ebay is great for shoes.

And I've been buying like, all my craft supplies online.sSome of those can get weird.

  • Shit I buy damn near everything online.

FI just bought almost all of the parts for his 4 wheeler online. I've bought a kitchen island, stripper pole and shoes, exercise equipment, basically fucking anything and everything for my house. I should've bought stock in Amazon when I was like 13, they get so much of my money.

If it means I don't have to haul all this shit home down the windy-ass roads I live on, I'm buying the motherfucker online.

  • I'll just leave this here:

  • I buy most things online too. The only thing I go shop for in a normal store is groceries. I had like five packs of diapers sent to my cousin's house recently.
  • Toilet paper? We buy everything online, groceries included.
    Me too. Peapod 4LYFE.
  • I don't buy that much online. I like shopping, even for groceries, and I like supporting small local businesses.  I only buy online when I can't find something here.

I do know someone who has bought a car online.  And another who bought her wedding dress online (that turned out to be a Chinese scam).
  • Gold hot pants for DH. He looks awesome in them btw.
I feel like there is a story to be told here.
  • I bought my wedding dress online.

  • For you ladies who buy gorceries online.. is it more expensive? How much is the delivery fee?

    Help Me Please?

I mean I knowhere in chacgo you can get your groceries delivered, but I also live across the street from  grocery store, I hate having to haul gorceries though.  Even if it's just across the street, if its a lot of stuff i still take the car.

I have actually found that I am able to get things cheaper. At stores, it's not as easy to tell what is the best value because of different package sizes and just how they are laid out on the shelf. With Peapod, you can sort by unit price, to ensure that you are really getting the best deal.

I believe the delivery price is $6 or $7, but if you pick certain delivery times, you can get it cheaper. They call them "green" times because they will already be in your general area around that time, so they give you a discount. I have also found coupon codes for free delivery pretty often.

  • Oh, and my absolute favorite Peapod feature? You can import you grocery list, and they will do all the searching for you. You just click on which particular milk (for example) that you want, and it automatically moves you on to the next item on your list.

Huh, I will have to talk to FI about that then.

It seems like we might save some money, and Since I plan all my meals out with a foodplanner, it would be awesome to just import the list, especially since it already has sizes and such on it.

Is the quality of the stuff good? That's my biggest complaint about the produce section at Tony's

OMG, yes. If I was not so lazy, and did actual meal planning, It would be perfect for that.

I have never had any quality issues and actually really like the Peapod generic brand of most things (except mayo. KRAFT ONLY.)

They don't have a whole lot of speicalty-type items though, so I do go to Mariano's if i'm looking for something fancy and/or out of the ordinary. Like, some of the seasonings and special cheese (paneer) to make Indian food. But for standard stuff, I get everything on Peapod.

    thanks so much @ashley8918!!!

And for the other people, I'm so sorry I jacked the thread. In answer the the OP, I love Amazon Prime, i buy all of my kindle books, and text books from them, I also buy origami paper online cheap, I have yet to comit to buying clothes online, mainly because it's hard for department store stuff to fit me, so i don't hold out much hope for online stuff fitting me. However If I have been to the store and I know exactly what size and what brands fit me then I will often go to the store site to buy online, or the brand site. I also buy My Mary Kay makeup stuff online, since I already met with the consultant (my aunt).

I also buy nearly everything (except groceries) online, although I have purchased groceries in the past (when living in the UK I used Tesco delivery a lot, but only because it was really difficult to get to the supermarket). Clothing, shoes, accessories, craft supplies, household goods, furniture, decor, electronics... Amazon Prime is certainly worth the investment.

The biggest gamble was the sewing machine I purchased from an Australian eBay seller and had one of my friends ship, but it worked out and just fine. And even though the shipping was terribly expensive, I still saved a ton of it. It's the only thing I've ever found that's not an Australian thing (Vegemite, ugg boots, etc.) that's cheaper there.

  • I bought a car from another state on ebay. Turned out to be a great deal and worth the 3k risk I took as a broke college student.
  • A sex pillow.

  • A vibrator, I guess.

Phone is dying so no pix- and @ashley8918‌ - I'm waiting at Xoco- but an angled pillow you put under you that helps with positioning. I left it with an old ex.

I need a new one, now that I think of it. Too bad it can't go on the registry...

  • I got my favorite vibrator via Amazon Prime.

Does it count as supporting local business if Amazon is in my town?

Like others here I LOVE Amazon Prime and buy nearly everything from them these days. And it's even more awesome when I can get SAME DAY shipping for like $7 (next day is usually $3, 2-day is free), if it's something I need quickly. Although I've actually had the free 2-day stuff arrive next day.
