What are you working on right now?

I'm 12 days out so I have a heavy list:

1. Finish our ceremony
2. Finish the schedule
3. Finalize the language for our programs
4. Confirm delivery times with vendors
5. Finish the kid's bags so I can get the various components cleaned up
6. Get my father to finalize our song so I can finally get a final list of songs to the DJ
7. Pick up the wine (this is why I need an SUV- multiple trips)
8. Wrap the WP gifts (a BM is staying with us for 5 days before the wedding so it needs to be done before she gets here.
9. Write heartfelt notes to the BMs. Make FI do the same for the GMs.
10. Finish the seating chart. This includes hounding my parents for their feedback- they promised to have their side done Saturday.
11. Once that's done, start printing the escort cards. Trying to do this from our office on Friday after hours. Need plenty of time to test/format in advance.
12. Write thank you notes for the gifts that just came in.
13. Finish every ridiculous craft project I should never have taken on
14. Test the wine to be served, test the chocolate to be included in the favor bags

If it's not obvious, I'm freaking out and annoyed that my nice little startup waited until the WEEK BEFORE MY WEDDING to finally start booking #*(@(*~! of business.

We're finally starting to get our house organized from our move in June. It's a little embarrassing it has taken so long, but I'm glad we're on top of it now.

I need to get FI in to meet the decorator so we can pick our table cloths and stuff and be done with it. I'm a little miffed at the decorators because we have an all inclusive package and the want to charge me 3 bucks per napkin for satin instead of cotton. Roar.

Crap. Christmas. Someone help me come up with ideas for everyone.

Lol I start Christmas shopping in August usually and it drives FI crazy! I'm just at a bit of a loss as to what to buy everyone this year because our budget is a lot more... well, tiny this year.

It's not close to Bozeman, but I do believe there's a college. That's a good idea. I was hoping to start out in an apartment because they're cheaper than rental homes and duplexes, but I want to make sure we're in a good, safe area.

I think there's a knottie or two that I know of from that area - I'll probably ask them for help too.

At this moment, I just finished making an almond butter birthday cake for my dog. She turns 7 today...but I adopted her when she was 3. I need to let it cool and then cut it into a bone shape and whip some yogurt and almond butter together as icing. I let her lick the beater, because that's what all good parents do. DON'T JUDGE ME! Lol.

As far as wedding stuff, our RSVP due date was last Monday. So now we are in the process of contacting the ones who didn't RSVP (about half of the invites we sent out). Pretty much done contacting people, so it looks like we'll have 105 in attendance, which is perfect! Now I'm working on the seating chart, which my mom is trying to overtake.

I'm trying to figure out programs...FI wants a paper airplane grand exit thing (as opposed to bubbles or sparklers or whatever). So I'm thinking of just making the programs paper airplanes. But what if someone wants to keep their program? I suppose they can just pick one up off the ground. Any ideas appreciated.

We just ordered the invitations. We should be getting them on Friday. I'm trying to figure out programs too. The invitation we ordered doesn't have matching programs or place cards, but, oh well.

I'm not doing a damn thing for Christmas this year. It's going to be all about laying around, eating good food, and soaking up the time I'll have with my DH. This is the "Year of Jells" where I get to be selfish and worry only about ME, ME, ME

I really do need something to focus on, though. I feel a little lost without planning something. I am just not in a position to plan very much right now.

I have to get the mass of wedding related boxes and bags organized since it has taken over my spare room and is creeping into the living room. Also I'd really like to get my flowers started and finished, waiting on FI to cut a piece of pipe so I can wrap it in ribbon and gems so that I know how many of my blue roses can be used before I start the BM kissing balls, boutonnieres and corsages (darn things are smaller than I thought and now I kinda have to ration them

). And last but not least I have to talk to my grandfather to see if it's possible to have little metal people to be table number holders (he makes them as a hobby and there are litterally hundreds of them in his garage).

I sent out a ton of e-mails in the past 24 hours to vendors, which I was putting off until FI and I had some time to sit down and talk about wedding details.

We sent out invitations Friday, so I've been getting texts from people telling me that they've gotten the invite, which is super exciting! (Now hopefully they send them back!) So far, we have gotten one verbal decline. I'm a little bummed because this couple has really taken care of me since I moved to CT, but I am already over it because I had no idea who to sit them with.

Tonight after I get some cleaning done, I'm hoping to find some cute baggies for the caramels we're making as favors.. and possibly a new candy thermometer. I'm also going to start looking at ideas for how we should decorate our jars of apple butter, or if we should just do regular labels. I also want to start looking at welcome bags and favors for the kiddos.

We're planning our wedding back in our home town, which is in a neighbouring province, about a 7.5 hour drive from us. We''re using up this years vacation time to head down there next week for 8 days to get as much stuff accomplished as possible for our September 2015 wedding. (It's hard to get down there to do things so as much as we can get done ahead of time the better).

Next week we're doing:
1. Meeting Caterer
2. Meeting prospective Officiant

3. Meeting with DJ

4. Engagement Photos

5. Wedding Dress Shopping.

6. Possibly purchasing rings (Have FI's picked out and mine narrowed to 2)

On top of wedding related stuff we have my FI 30th birthday, My Sis-in-Laws birthday, Thanksgiving (Canadian!) Haircuts (I still have loyalty to my backhome hairdresser) and massages. We also have to drive another 5 hours (on top of the 7.5) to get to his parents house for thanksgiving dinner.

I am a little overwhelmed thinking about it!!!! (And have to admit not looking forward to the 25 hours total driving in a week)

I'm definitely going to need the massage I booked for us on day 5 of the trip. And lots of wine.
