What's the most random thing on your desk at work?

Mine is a salt shaker, than when I get stressed I sprinkle some in the palm of my hand and eat it. Yes I eat salt - straight - for fun - and my blood pressure is shockingly good still. I also have a pepper grinder to make it look less odd, but my coworkers all know I eat salt, so I'm not fooling anyone :-p

My desk at work is ridiculously organized. The only thing currently "out of place" on my desk right now is a pair of nail clippers because I used the little file part to get something out from under my nails. Otherwise, it's just stacks of files and a big pen holder cup. I'm so boring at work.

A rep from Disney stopped by and gave me a tupperware container that has this lime green gel in the top (the whole thing is see-thru so you can totally see it). You can freeze the top to keep the contents inside cold. It's a marketing piece for the epcot food and wine fest and super cool imo.

My work desk is shared with another student worker. I once walked in to find a Kool Aid packet on the desk. Not one of those single serve ones. Like a Full Sized Packet, that you would use to make Kool Aid at home. It was just sitting there. Next to my Keyboard.

On my actual desk - a bracelet that my boss printed for me on our 3-D printer when we got it and he was just messing around making stuff. On my shelves -a tiny minion from despicable me that someone got me when I became a project manager. Also - an empty washed out coke zero that says "Wingman" on it.

I don't have a desk at work, but I do have one at home. I have a baggy of old light bulbs, pills, and batteries for SO to take to be properly disposed of (he works part-time at a place that does hazardous waste disposal).

Right now I have Krazy Glue, a stress ball, a minion figurine, an adirondack chair shaped lamp, a slap bracelet, and sunglasses that say "Hello Sunny" on the lenses.

My aquarium with my betta fish, Hercules, is also on my desk.

A piggy bank that FIs step daughter painted for me filled with lithium. Almost never remember to take my meds in the morning and for some reason h w decided keeping them in a piggy bank is less obvious than keeping the giant pill bottle in my purse or desk.

I felt the need to reassess my desk after reading your responses...as I have most of these items on my desk as well...I am a level 2 hoarder I guess.

So as you can see I have a Xmas tree, not one - but two nail clippers, wind up toys, a bag of coal in a "you've been naughty" bag, 5 bottles of nail polish, a magic 8 ball, a tennis ball, a freezer pack, a clown nose (yes a clown nose), a Beyonce the Rooster stick puppet and said S&P set.

I did not collect all the empty bottles or condiment packets that range from hot sauce, jelly to soy sauce for the photo. Tea and crystal light - got that in bulk.

I do not have Disney Tupperware or a combat helmet - jealous!!

I also don't have a Sweet Valley High book...not going to ask or judge.

I guess I was being naive when I said S&P...

Ugh, I don't have anything random on my desk. That's not to say it's neat and organized, it's just all work-related stuff.

If we're talking in my desk, the weirdest thing is probably my wedding shoes (all of my dress fittings are right after work, so I keep them in my desk).

Whoever had this office before me had a keychain in the shape of a moth that hangs on the wall. Like a really ugly moth. It's made of purple plastic. It's one of the weirdest things I've ever seen.... so I left it up and it's been there ever since I started working.

I have a small papa smurf figurine holding a pink crystal, sitting next to a stuffed duckling in an egg (March of Dimes Easter fundraiser), various water bottles (empty and full), and a valve lock with a face drawn on it because someone once told me it looked like a dinosaur. My desk is a mess.

Let's see. There's a little brown metallic owl next to my message sorter; the ribbon off a Admin Assistant Day gift from a court reporter, the ribbon off my birthday present from my boss, a yoyo one of my kids gave me on the last day of work at my afterschool, a bracelet another kid gave me, and a sticky that says "Quit Borrowing Trouble" all attached to my monitor; a TARDIS booklight attached to my mousepad; a paper crane (another kid present) on the corner of my desk; a Minion, pictures of FI and I from our engagement shoot, three birthday cards and a "Just a Note" card on my back counter, and a picture that a client's kid colored taped up to the wall behind me.

And also my snitch necklace, but that's temporary. I'm getting a new chain for it soon because the chain I've got is too long and keeps getting snagged.

It's on my bookshelf attached to my desk, but I have a fleet of bobbleheads. About 15 of them, all Phillies. I also have a Phillies hula figurine that is slightly broken and with it the sign the cleaner left for me when she broke it. I love the note because she referred to my hula figurine as my "Phillie gentleman."

The oddest thing on my home desk is an inflatable Teddy from the Persona series. I think H got it as a pre order for the newest Persona Arena.

Hmm I don't have a personal desk, but I have a spot in front of a computer that I claim during my shift as "my spot". I usually have a water bottle, a bag of cheerios.. And a shit ton of EKG strips because I can never interpret those when they immediately come out.

So nothing weird.

I've got a deck of cards on my actual desk. I have a book shelf in my office with board games and puzzels on it. It's not job related. I brought in one game one day for a meeting and it got left here, then I brought in a puzzle because it was going to be slow, and now I officially am the game person in the office.

I have a print out of Microsoft Paint picture that my coworker made of me when we were in college together. It's really unflattering but I keep it because it makes me giggle.

job related but random: I also have a plastic ring that measures radiation exposure because we have a hand-held x-ray instrument to measure what elements are in the samples customers send to us. I have to wear the ring when I use it, then it gets sent out every quarter to make sure I'm not being over-exposed.
