I have about 9 months to go and have most of the major things already booked / planned / etc.
We have our venue, sent out STDs, booked photo/vid, music, flowers, I bought my dress, selected and even purchased BM dresses (they were being discontinued so we needed to snatch them up).
FI and I thought to take a break until around December/January-ish and then start ironing out the smaller-details but I am starting to feel restless - like I should be doing something but I don't really know what to do.
Did anyone else experience a lull in the planning?
What did you do to stave off the restlessness?
Re: Restless in wedding world
We're getting in to holiday season...I don't know about you, but for me the next 3 months will have no lulls or restlessness.
ETA: during this time, we were moving and DH and was graduating so we had a lot of other things to put our focus on. I read books and went shopping, clothes shopping, a lot.
All I remember is that we were busy every weekend for over 2 months. And my mom had to threaten us to get our registry done so my MOHs could send out my shower invites. Once I got in a groove of not doing wedding things, it was hard to get back into it.
Same here, I just kept checking that checklist and being like well shit, I'm caught up a month in advance. I definitely had a good 4 months where I did nothing. We joked that if we had known that, we would have booked/ planned it for much sooner.
My friend just booked hers 7 months out and everyone is all over her about it being so quick and I'm like no way, girl, plenty of time!!
I was totally lurking on (I think it was @larrygaga 's) processional / recessional thread the other day for ideas. Thanks for the tip. We have to submit to the band a list of songs we want and don't want. Seems like a good way to pass some time, with a nice glass of wine of course!
ETA: Most of the content, I clicked submit before writing by accident :S Oops.
Our wedding is pretty far from where we live, so we don't have to many DIY projects (the logistics would be too much to consider the costs in shipping things, etc). This could be another reason why I am really feeling "lull-y" I suppose. After writing this thread though, I started thinking about what to get my BMs for their gifts. I am big into making lists and checking things off. So, I figured that way, if I have a guideline of what I want to get for them I can take sweet sweet advantage of all pre- and post-holiday sales!!
