I guess I just sort of jumped into some of these threads with both feet after lurking a few months and never really introduced myself. I saw that it's a popular thing on NEY, but since I am engaged I didn't join in. Anything you ladies interested in knowing?

OMG side note on this, but how is the temperament and intelligence of your Swissy? I had a Bernese mountain dog as a kid and he was the sweetest thing, though not the smartest (several stories of him sleeping on his back on the top of the stairs and rolling over in his sleep). I've been looking to perhaps get a Swiss mountain dog in the next few years...but not sure how my toller and the two kitties would react.
I think this is a very important topic. We need to know which knotties we will have to off and eat first.
Relish should not go anywhere near deviled eggs. I'm a purist, just a little mayo, spicy mustard, salt, and pepper. And I love red grapes in my chicken salad! No celery whatsoever please.
His temperament is great, but he's a jumper. This can be an issue with little kids, but if he had some (much needed) training then that could be fixed. He loves people and we've never had any aggression from him.
He's 6 now, so he's getting up there for a large breed dog but you'd never know. He has the energy of a puppy and is still sweet as can be. FI let some of his training fall by the wayside before we met, but he knows the basic commands and seems pretty smart.
I highly recommend the Swissy if you're thinking about it. If he's a puppy, it shouldn't be hard to integrate him into the family and with training he can learn to be gentle with everyone.
This is a hard one! I LOVE sushi. Like seriously love it. I actually had to Google how much sushi you had to consume to get mercury poisoning because I was concerned. If allowed, I would eat it 5 days a week.
The other two days I'd eat Mexican food.
I'm kinda conniving. I could infiltrate their group and work my way up through the ranks of leadership. Then lead them to their demise.
...Or at least in the direction of those BSC ladies on The Bump
A couple Atlanta centric questions:
ITP or OTP?
Publix or Kroger?
Highways or backroads?
Lake or beach?
Since you like newer country, do you prefer Kicks or The Bull?
Favorite mall around Atlanta? (Are you a Lenox/Phipps kind of girl, or do you make the hike to the new outlets on 575?)
I live in Vinings, so I'm ITP
Publix is closer to me so I go there more often, but I like the variety at Kroger
Backroads all the way. I take 285 to work and I want to cry every day.
Beach time a million. I grew up in the Philly suburbs, so the Jersey shore was an hour drive. Spent summers in the Outer Banks, and lived in Savannah for several years (and on Tybee for a summer).
I don't have a preference between the two. We have Google Music, so I listen to whatever I want on there most of the time.
I'm a Lenox and Perimeter girl. FI is from the Houston area, so we go to Chuy's a lot and Sur la Table up there, then I go to Lenox to shop and drool.
ETA: I actually have no idea where 575 is. I pretty much stick to 85, 75, 285, and 400. I'm really bad with directions. I only know one way to get to work and I work next to the airport. It's not that hard, there are signs. I just can't.
285 is SO cry-worthy. So is 75. It's nice that 75 tends to back up starting around 285 (if you're heading north), so we can at least get off at Cumberland and avoid that part of it. 575 is off 75, starting around the Kennesaw area.
I'm a perimeter girl, all the way. I love the mall and the stuff around it, and I generally like that part of town. Lenox and Phipps are definitely more for drooling than shopping for me too.
@lurkergirl YAY! That is awesome! I've had Orient Express, but FI thought the hibachi was too salty. I love hibachi so I didn't notice. Their sushi is pretty good, but Sushi Tong on Atlanta Road is my favorite. Their Fantastic Roll is ah-may-zing!
We go to Meehan's Public House way too much. Their food is really good and I love the hefeweizen they carry, Koenig Ludwig. I also haven't been to La Paz but I've heard good things about it.
