(except I keep thinking it's Thursday). 6let's concert yesterday was a-freaking-dorable. I'm amazed that the music teacher got 30 odd kids to sing and dance the way she did. We had a great time hanging with all of the grands too.
Today I WILL get started on Max's birthday. I've got my grocery list, I've already made the chocolates, and I've got the materials to make his banner. Tomorrow will be cleaning day.
DH had an awesome review yesterday and apparently my boss has been incredibly impressed. (that I can find him shoes and book a massage? whatever, he's happy and paying me)
And a whine. You can stop here I just need to get it out:
In Sept. MIL announced that they are going to sSIL's homein Indiana Dec 20 and staying until Dec 26. There is no mention of wanting to get together at any other time to do Christmas or whatever so we move on with plans for bday and Christmas with my family- the weekend of the 20th because there's no conflict.
SFIL is sipping Max's party Sunday to watch a football game. Fine. They will be driving through town Sat and asked if they could take us out to dinner instead. Yay, 7 people on a Saturday night at Christmas by a huge mall is the easiest dinner ever. I tell DH he's welcome to go, but if I don't have the party stuff done, he's on his own.
MIL has been saying stuff about wanting to get together Dec. 21. I've told her several times we're doing my family then. Last night she pulls the "we'll just bring presents Saturday and do Christmas then! Since you won't be around at Christmas." I remind her she was the one who stated they were unavailable and told her we won't be doing Christmas here the night before Max's party. I told DH later under no circumstances is this to happen. I WILL NOT clean up from all their shit when I have 30 people to get ready for. I WILL NOT let Max's birthday be overshadowed. He's only 2, but walks around saying happy burday to me.
