Oh Hai

Re: Oh Hai

  • I too am sorry about your kitty.  I am a rabbit person, and I already dread the day my rabbit Cocoa dies.  I will probably drown my sorrows, though in brandy, not whiskey.
Ireland is awesome!  I've been twice, and I would go back in a heartbeat.  But Netherlands is also awesome - go there!  Check out Utrecht and Maastricht, not just Amsterdam.
I'm naming my rabbits after the four horsemen of the apocalypse (Not Cocoa, though - I didn't get to name him because I got him from a friend).  Do you have any name plans for future cats?

  • Since I started posting the only polite thing to do is introduce myself.

39, never been married.  Been with current boyfriend for almost 4 years. Since we are two commitment phobes in a relationship we are currently quite happy living separately (though planning to move in together next summer) and discussing marriage in vague terms. By vague terms I mean. We plan to get married a few years down the road.

Crazy catlady.  Currently without a cat because I am still getting over saying goodbye to my dearest friend and my best beloved last summer.

Been reluctant to post because I am not engaged nor planning a wedding, just discussing a future idea of one with boyfriend.  But Good god, I have been in so many damn weddings over the years I feel confident I can weigh in with advice.  Although I am so sick and tired of weddings my attitude has become: Why do I want to plan a hugely expensive stress filled nightmare?  I can fight with my Mom for free, I don’t need to light $20,000 on fire to do it.  (Please note: I hold this opinion for myself and myself only.  I would never judge someone else’s wedding simply because it wasn’t what I wanted.  Although I will judge poor hosting and PPD’s.  I feel this way because I am personally wedding-ed out and I have never, not once, enjoyed being in a wedding)

I am blunt, sarcastic, snarky, and often more than a bit strange.  I love musical theatre and science fiction.  Whiskey is my drink of choice and Joan Holloway is my hero.

Welcome friend! You will fit very well in here :)

Serious question time: How do you feel about Doctor Who?

When BF and I were first dating I sat him down and very seriously explained to him that I can't see our relationship moving forward if he doesn't watch Dr. Who. Of course, he loves the show now he just hadn't sat down and watched it yet. But seriously I could never fall in love with someone who doesn't love The Doctor.

When FI and I started dating, I told him it was a deal breaker if he didn't watch Mad Men. He had never seen it, but luckily I had every season on DVD. We binge-watched together every single time we visited each other (long distance relationship) and he fell in love with the show right off the bat. So he passed the test.

kerbohl She shall be called Khaleesi.  Or if a boy kitty chooses me, Dracarys.

Sorry for the late answer, missed that.

  • Welcome! I am a cat lady too (currently without any cats). Love the names of your future babies.

Do you do moon celebrations? I celebrate the new moon each cycle. I'm too fucking crazy during the full moon to pull my shit together to do it but sometimes a friend of mine will organize it and I am present.

You have the Witchey Seal of Approval.

I had to do the same with DH when we first started dating. I didn't give him a choice, I just hijacked his DVD player. It was a marvelous plan and it worked wonderfully.
