    Go ahead and vent all you want.  Then, when you are really talking to people, you can do it without letter your emotions run away with you.  It doesn't help anyone.  Believe me, I have been there.

    She is standing up against douchebaggery, not tying herself up over her parents divorce.
    That isn't my take on her original post.  She seems to be (justifiably) angry at her mother, and defending her father, and it is THEIR fight.  I don't care a fig about her parents, but Lolo is a good person, and I hate to see her eating herself up about things she cannot control.

    Actually if you had read her post carefully you would see that the comment lolo is angry about was made by her aunt and has nothing to do with a fight between her parents. All I see is someone who is appropriately angry over a hateful comment about a loved one, not a person who is "eating herself up" about anything.

    I haven't been arrested @lc07‌ , thanks! ;) Still pissed but haven't punched anyone. Was kind of annoyed that I texted my sisters to fill them in and they were like "oh yeah, we saw that." Da fuq? But they call me the "tiger sister" who always comes in roaring so I'm not necessarily surprised that they just left it up to me to say something. Don't think I'll be able to keep my cool if I see Aunt T at Christmas.

    I disagree with the bolded.  I have dealt with internalized anger for most of my life.  It has hurt me more than it hurt the idiots in my family who said and did horrible things.

    My Dad died at age 44 from pancreatic cancer.  Doctors will tell you that people don't die from pancreatic cancer - they die from it's effects on the system, as in cirrhosis of the liver.  My aunt spread the story that Dad died from alcoholism.  No.  Dad wasn't a big drinker.  He had fucking cancer.  My MIL heard the story about alcoholism, and told DH not to date me because of it.  DH set her straight - at age 15!  Yay!

    The day before she died, Mom related the story that when I was a baby, she hated me so much she threatened to drop me on my head when I wouldn't stop crying.  My grandmother saved me.  Yeah, thanks, Mom.  Sorry I ruined your life.  Just what I needed to hear as she was dying.

    I am an old lady, and when I go to church, I pray to God to take away my anger.  The anger hurts me.  I will probably spend the rest of my life trying to find forgiveness in my heart for the years of abuse.  It sucks.  I don't wish that terrible anger on anybody.
