Even animals have them. My big dog (his name is Novel) is a total angel. Even when he was a puppy he hardly did anything bad. I only remember him having 1 or 2 accidents in the house because he's super smart and was super easy to train, plus due to his breed he's inherently a people pleaser.
He used to have a super soft furry micro-fiber bed but he got scared in a thunderstorm and shredded the bed. So we got him a Kong bed, which wasn't soft and furry, but it was super durable. We wanted it to last longer this time cuz beds for dogs his size are expensive. But we've been suspecting for a while that he absolutely hates the Kong bed because of odd things he does (like sometimes he'll sleep right next to it on the floor but won't sleep on it, and if we tell him to sleep on it he'll leave the room).
Then last night I'm in the shower and I hear a huge commotion. I hop out to see what's going on and FI says "Novel took the biggest crap I've ever seen!" Um... why does that matter? So I ask "Where?" FI says "On his bed!"
I run into our bedroom and sure enough there's a giant crap on his bed! What the hell?!!! He's NEVER misbehaved like this before! So clearly he hates the bed. Hates it so much he decided to take a crap on it to express his true feelings. It was extremely hard to yell at him when I could hardly even talk because I was laughing so hard.
Needless to say we are now looking for a new bed for him, one that he'll hopefully hate less.
But just look at that sweet face! How could he be bad?! (I had to attach the photo of him and I from last summer cuz as I was flipping through my photos and saw it my first thought was "hm if that was my FI instead of the dog that would have been a great engagement photo") Haha.
So anyway. I want to hear about your fur babies' tantrums. I know there's some funny stories out there!

Re: Passive aggressive tantrums
Omgggg my dog throws the biggest temper tantrums. We've had him two months and spoiled the shit out of him, so really it's our own fault. If he wants something that we have (usually food) or we're not paying attention to him, he does this little back kick thing and start making these little chuff noises. That's how we knows he's pissed off. It's hilarious though because he's all of 9 pounds and trying to be tough. He's also punishing us now for leaving him in his crate while we're at work. He used to pee outside his crate during the day (no idea how he managed that) so he didn't have it in his crate, but now he just pees all over his towel in the crate and lays in it all day out of spite. I only think this because he sleeps in his crate with no issue overnight, but he knows we're home with him.
He also goes after thing he's not supposed to when we leave the room and aren't paying attention to him. His new favorite is the Christmas tree skirt - he knows he's not supposed to touch it but every time we leave the room, he goes right for it and pull it out from under the tree into the middle of the living room. He's super sneaky and quiet about it too. Just like a little kid. I'm going to start wrapping presents tonight so that way he can't keep taking the tree skirt.
One time, he broke his kennel trying to escape so we had to leave him out when we left the house to get another kennel. We thought we were being smart putting him in an empty room in the basement filled with dog toys. The walls were cinderblock and we had closed the door, so you'd think there wouldn't be much trouble he could get into. Wrong. We came home to him sitting on the couch. He had chewed through the door to get out of the room, gone up the basement steps and jumped over the babygate at the top of the steps. Still cant figure out how he did that. Luckily, that apparently tuckered him out, because he did very little damage once he was freed.
We're actually pretty ticked with him right now. He's been having accidents in his crate recently, a few nights a week. He's also refusing to go outside at night lately. We took him to the vet about it, thinking that maybe there was something wrong with him- we're worried that he's got parasites or an infection or joint issues that make him not want to go into the cold. Nope. He's perfectly healthy, just lazy.
Haha that's too funny! Our dog does some really needy, yet adorable stuff. He's a 10lb Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix so he's pretty little. One night we left for several hours and when we got back home, he had DESROYED a bag of trash we had sitting in the corner. It was like he thought we were never coming back so he ate all the food he could find lol. So much for rationing.
He also does this thing where he sits on FI's chest if FI is laying down, and if FI doesn't look at him, he paws at his face over and over until FI pays attention to him. Cutest ever. To me, not to FI lol
Another time, we went out during the morning and stupidly left our breakfast dishes on the table. (We eat at the coffee table because we're lazy and don't want to put everything in the dining room.) We get back home and I look at our dog who appears to be wet. I'm like, "Why are you wet? What have you been doing?" I touch the 'wetness' on his fur and it's dried SYRUP. Then I see a trail of syrup from the coffee table, to the carpet, to the couch and all over the couch cushions. He had drug a peice of leftover french toast from the table to the couch and then apparently rolled around in the syrup after he ate the toast. FI washed him while I washed the couch and furniture.
Side note: Costco sells giant dog beds at more reasonable prices (they're around $65 instead $200. They're not super fancy or anything, but they should fit your pup).
My dog is the world's greatest pouter. You'd swear that he had the hardest life ever by the way he pouts. Whenever H leaves the house, he'll spend half an hour trying to find him, and then come and throw himself on the couch, looking as forlorn as possible. He won't even acknowledge me until his dad comes home. And when we try to put him in the crate in the morning, he runs to his chair and just stares at us with his big brown eyes and tries to look at little as possible. This of course breaks my heart, even though I know it's a ploy.
I thought I would die.
This is really funny!
My family's dog is so needy and bratty sometimes ha. He is this small fluffy white dog (Maltese) but he thinks he is the biggest thing around. He constantly wants attention and wants to be near people. We have had him since I was 7 and I'm 21 now. The first time I came home from break, he watch me make my bed and wanted to get on it. So I put him on it and then he threw up on my bed! The little brat watch me do laundry, and make my bed! So I knew he was mad at me ha. Apparently he always sleeps in my room on my bed. I can't wait to see him!
