We are 9 months apart. Although my family tends to remarry way way younger. My grandpa on my mom's side was 36 years older than my grandma. And my grandpa on my dad's side remarried a 19 year old when he was 68.

Personally I find the latter vile. She is seriously younger than me, his granddaughter. And the youngest grandkids is only 4 years younger than her. Smh

I'm in that situation as well. My DH is 52 and my mom is 59. I'm closer to his kids in age than I am to him!

H is 2.5 years older than me. His sister and I share a birthday, so there is absolutely no way he can forget either of them.

I am 8 yrs younger than FI. It doesnt bother me. He is young at heart. He isn't as annoying as guys my age.

ETA: people have thought he was my father before. he really does not look that old.... come on now. (he was more pissed because at the time he was late 20s)

My husband is 4 years older. We met when I was 28 and he was 32, so it's really no big difference at our ages.

My H is 7 years older. He is advanced in his career for his age too so we have had a lot of opportunities that a lot of people my age don't have as a result. The down side is that he wants kids a little earlier than I would prefer but we'll make it work.

FI is 6 1/2 years older (I'm 29, he just turned 36). The only time it comes up is when we joke about what I was doing in elementary school while he was learning to drive, or what I was doing in junior high when he was in college, and so on.

ETA: FI and I both look pretty young, but one time I got called a cougar for dating him because of his looks. Ouch.

H is 5 years older than me. One of my favorite things to do is make jokes about his depends and bad hips. It's especially hilarious because he is only 30, but is always saying that he is SOOOOO OLD. Pssh, whatever.

FI is three months younger than me, but that's a different calendar year and also made him a grade below me in school, so I met him when I was already graduated and he was still in high school - probably one of the reasons it took us so many years to fall in love because I thought of him as a kid.

FI is 7 and a half years older than I am, but when we met and I started to bring him around my friends in college, they thought he was 3 years older tops. He is young at heart, but fairly well established. I don't ever notice it except for when he will make certain old show references that were just before my time and things like that. And like many of you, I love to tell him he's old just to mess with him.

DH is 3 years older. Our lives were so incredibly different that we never really compare major milestones.

The only time it comes up is when discussing the music we listened to in high school: he listened to house music while I was in the grove area. The cool clothes were pretty different too.

I am older than H by about 1 year and 3 months. We met right after I graduated high school (his senior year) and when we met I thought he was older :P

I feel like it's less 'normal' for the man to be younger. Our age gap isn't drastic and I never really thought anything of it. Most people think/assume he's older because of the way he acts and the fact I forever look younger than I am with a baby face (benefits in the future!).

I am 6 years younger than FI.

Aside from a high school boyfriend, it's the smallest age gap I've had in a relationship so it's not noticeable at all.
