Nervous and New to The Knot.

Hi, my name is Aleesha. I've been on this site for a while, but I am just now starting to check out the message boards. I'm still not completely used to the boards and don't really know how to become social on here. I'm kind of hoping to meet some new people online to talk to about everyday life and wedding topics of course too. I just moved to Tennessee with my soon to be fiance and I don't know anyone here. I haven't started working just yet either so I don't really have anyone to talk to besides him and my mom on the phone.

Any ladies want to offer me some insight on the website or maybe want to strike up a conversation?

Wedding question...how was your wedding planning experience? Did you have a large wedding or a more intimate one? What were your favorite parts? Any funny stories?

Hi and welcome to the knot I'm new on here too and have found everybody quite friendly - you'll need thick skin at times though lol.
my planning was 51 weeks we didn't intend it to be so short but we found an awesome deal so had to go ahead ours was 50 people for the day 100 people evening plus 20 children so a standard wedding in the UK really favourite parts included seeing our little bridesmaids all dressed up cake sampling and marrying oh :-)

Welcome! I do hope your wedding planning is going well. I joined many years ago when my first DD (that means daughter) got married. My 4th DD just got married this past June! I stayed because not only did I have so many girls, I made some good friends here too!

The move went smoothly. I had more than enough time to pack up my stuff without ever feeling rushed. Which is surprising since I moved one week after I graduated from college. Yes!!! Decorating was what I was the most excited about! Everything is unpacked, but I still have some more decorating to do.

OMG! And I thought 20 was terrible. Where do you live? -40 sounds so unreal to me!

We don't have a set wedding date just yet. I would like for it to be on either our 3rd or 4th anniversary. But my fiance said that once we get THE ring that he just wants to go ahead and get married.

I moved from New Orleans. Where did you move from/to?

Hm...my favorite new addition show is Friends!!! My old favorite that they took off is King Of The Hill. Lately I've just been going back and forth between Netflix and Hulu. I'll admit...I'm watch Mob Wives currently. Guilty pleasure.

I find sloths to be hilariously awesome! My boyfriend actually got my a plush sloth for the christmas before last. Him and his sister both got me sloth socks accidentally.
