  You can send a thank you note, but I personally am giving a small gift too that I know the hostesses will like. At the same time, I know the hosts have been working on my bridal shower for a few months and spending a little bit of money.   I gave a gift to my mom (a "date night" -- restaurant & movie gift cards) and my MOH (a blanket she wanted).

  I gave a card with a nice hand written note inside plus a small gift to my 2 bridesmaids who threw my shower.
