  • @ashley8918 Are those Betsy Johnson? I heard hers are so uncomfortable even though they look amazing

  • I already owned the shoes so I wore them before the wedding and a few times since. I've worn my earrings, necklace and bracelet again, although not all at the same time. I'm actually wearing the panties right now. I haven't worn the bra since, but it was a strapless one I already had so I'll wear that again when I need a strapless bra. I wear the pashmina I got for outdoor photos at least once a week.

    Yes, they are.

They are the most horrendously uncomfortable things EVER. But, look at them! Totally worth it, IMO hahaha
  • I'm not married yet but I am absolutely ITCHING to wear my wedding shoes somewhere outside the confines of my home.

I'm a hot mess, though, so I've been trying so hard not to wear them (except to break them in).

  • Not married yet, but I fully intend on wearing my shoes after, particularly on the honeymoon. I am HUGE on shoes, so I am definitely getting a pair I can wear on other occasions. Right now I have my shoes on back order since they were sold out. I REALLY hope they get them back in stock, this is them :

I also want to get Cobalt Blue earrings, maybe Chandelier ones that I can wear on nice occasions. And I want a bracelet, which I also intend to wear on other occasions. Still on the hunt for the jewelry, though.

  • I've worn my earrings and necklace again, but I've owned them forever - simple pearl studs and strand. I wore the shoes a fair amount before the wedding to break them in (baby blue flats, but I was worried about blisters) and then they got pretty worn out at the wedding itself. I've worn them to the store a few times since but they're pretty dead.

I do want an opportunity to wear my hair comb again. It is so pretty, but just a comb so I'm pretty sure even I can style it in. Maybe to one of my weddings this spring.

I am also a lazy and have not gotten my dress dry cleaned or preserved and my wedding was in June. I'm at the point where I'm worried that the stains are set (grass at the hem) and that it will be that way forever. On the other hand, carrying it several blocks to a decent drY-cleaner seems like a huge chore. Either way, I can't see altering it to be rewearable.
  • @ashley8918 and I are shoe twins!!!

Honestly I didn't think they were that uncomfortable. But also my feet might not be able to feel pain anymore from what I put them through.

@crackktheskyy If you work somewhere clean like an office, you should totally wear them to work to break them it- that's what I did about 2 weeks before the wedding.

That's a great idea but unfortunately I'm a grad student! I don't think I could get away with walking across a very hilly campus in 4 inch sparkly shoes, jeans, and a hoodie :)

Girl please. That was my basic college look. ;)

You probably rocked it and looked like this:

Meanwhile, I'm just trying to get across campus and do this approximately 18 times:

  • I've worn the necklace and earrings several times, along with the bracelet.

The shoes I haven't touched, but they are white dyeables, so I'm thinking of dying them a bright shade of blue or red.

I've worn my shape wear (spanx) for work clothes too.
  • All you ladies had such fancy shoes. I wore ballet flats. Lol. For part of the reception I wore a pair of mint green Toms my mom bought me because she thought I would want to change out of heels for the reception. Hahaha like I was going to risk breaking my ankle on my wedding day.

I'm a grad student too. I don't wear sparkly 4 inch heels, but I do rock 3 inch pumps with jeans and a cardigan at least once a week.

  • @crackktheskyy‌ it was more a walk of shame. ..or well...walk of oh fuck stayed out too late with my girlfriend gotta run to class hey these are shoes.
  • I just wore my brooch and hair pins on NYE.   I wore the brooch in my hair. (pic below). I had 3 Swarovski star fish hair pins too.

I borrowed a diamond bracelet to wear from our family jeweler which DH ended up buying for me which I have also worn.   I've worn my earrings once, but they were cheap and I do not do well with cheap earrings.

I haven't worn the shoes or dress again.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

FI gave me pearls for my graduation gift, and I wear them every chance I get. I will wear them on my wedding day, and then I'll continue wearing them every chance I get afterwards.

Although I may or may not switch to the amber pieces he gave me. He says amber looks amazing in my hair!

Can I wear both? My amber could be in my hair and I will wear my pearls. Would that be crazy. I dress pretty crazy so I usually need advice when I'm trying to be normal.

I wrap bracelets around buns/ponytails all the time. What kind of hairdo are you thinking of going with?

You must be way more graceful than I am! My best friend once told me I rock the "lumberjack chic" look. I don't think this was a compliment!

Hahaha I know all about those types of walks! (But they're easier to make in flats)
