It's a goddamn zoo here in Phoenix. Seven blocks of downtown are blocked off for the "Superbowl Experience". I went to where ESPN was broadcasting at lunch because it was close to work. They have a pretty sweet set up.

PATS!!! All the way. Too bad I can't watch cos of practice. I have a student (gr 6) who is a huge Seahawks fan. As in her parents have taken her to Seattle to watch a game, and also took her to the Championship game 2 weekends ago. She has the jacket, backpack, shirts, socks and has dyed the bottom half of her blond hair sea hawk blue. She actually invited me to her Superbowl party this weekend. Very nice of her, but there's no way I'd go. I'm gonna have to eat some major crow from her on Monday if the Pats lose this weekend

Seattle is all worked up. There are blue and green lights on the buildings and trees and 12th man 12s everywhere. People look like fools running around all blue and green decorated, with weird hair things and stuff. I have seen some interesting fashion choices. The energy is very good though. Happy excited energy. Seahawk madness. Many shirts for sale on many corners.

I am honestly not very interested in the Seahawks. I've tried to watch, because I felt left out.

It's actually pretty fun and hard not to be involved. The city looks good. And the space needle is all gussied up.

(The space needle opened exactly 10 days before I was born. I always feel sort of related to the silly thing.)

Two of my least favorite teams...if there was a way for them to both lose, I would vote for that outcome.

I'm not really into football but I casually follow it. I live in Denver but I'm from Idaho which tends to be split between cheering for Denver and Seattle since we don't have a team of our own so I'll be cheering for the Seahawks.

I'm excited for snacks, the puppy bowl, and the commercials. I hate football. H's team is the Bills so his hatred for the Patriots and Tom Brady is intense. He doesn't really care about the Seahawks and only wants them to win because it will mean the Patriots will lose and Tom Brady will probably cry.

I love football, but after all the shenanigans that went down during the playoffs I just can't get excited about this. A bunch of friends pestered us about whether we were hosting a party and that just pissed me off... we hosted ALL THE PARTIES last year, plus a wedding; it's someone else's damn turn. Of course none of them will host anything, so I think we're just gonna stay home and order a pizza.

I really want the Seahawks to win! I am a Russel Wilson fan because he went to NC State and it's pretty cool he's so huge in the NFL now. I remember watching him blow games at NC State on the regular. I also think it would be cool for them to win two years in a row.

I don't hate the Patriots. I like Tom Brady (I actually like his wife more). I just like the Seahawks more.

And Marshawn Lynch is pretty awesome. "I'm just here so I don't get fined."

I am disliking all this hatred toward me team and my beatuiful Tom Brady. lol

It's ok, everyone hates winners. I used to hate Peyton Manning for always beating us, and I hate Lebron James for always beating us. But you have to admit he gets admiration for not being a sell out. When everyone else is jumping around teams trying to make more money, Tom has said 100 times that he built this team and he will never leave it for more money. He has actually taken cuts to get receivers that he wanted.

H said he will be happy if the Seahawks break Tom Brady's legs, even if the Pats end up winning the Super Bowl. Every time the Pats play the Bills, that's what H hopes for. He really, really hates Tom Brady.

Also if you think the deflated footballs are a thing at all, youre not an actual football fan. the only people up in arms about this are 1) people who will hate the pats no matter what, 2) people who are just casual fans and don't understand how testing the footballs work (and how every qb has a preference), and 3) the media. And even the media is finally looking at the facts and figuring out that the NFL handled this shady as fuck.

I dont understand the Tom Brady hate at all. I love the pats but I would never wish for rogers, peyton, luck, or any of our rivals to get hurt. Like wishing broken bones on him? I honestly don't understand whats so hateable about him- especially in a league that's filled with domestic abusers, drunk drivers, etc.

The thing with the deflated footballs is that it's yet another allegation of cheating. That's what pisses people off, espcially people (like me) that already dislike the Pats.

I think you took my post way too seriously.

The inflated football part was tongue in cheek. This whole deflate gate is ridiculous but the fact that the Pats have cheated in the past and continue to think they are above the rules is an issue.

And seriously, it is his nose. I am certainly not wishing that he die. But he needs to be roughed up and maybe brought down a few notches. All Brady does is bitch and complain and moan when anyone even remotely comes close to him. He plays football so stop your bitching and take a hit without sounding like a nancy ass all the time.

Didn't a player this past season get fined for wearing a certain brand of headsets? That brand apparently wasn't the brand the NFL supported so they fined him, or something like that.
