My Girlfriend Got Married on Saturday...

And she got her pictures back TODAY. WTF. I hope I get mines that quick!

Re: My Girlfriend Got Married on Saturday...

  • I got mine in about two weeks...and I later found out his mom passed away the day after our wedding. I was impressed!
  • I got all of mine in about 10 days. I just lucked out that my photographer didn't have any other big jobs at the time or else I'd have had a much longer wait.

  • Not to be a downer, but that would honestly scare me.

Quick turn around is great, but I would worry they hadn't really done a thorough job editing and making them the best quality they could potentially be.

I would be willing to bet the quick turnaround time is more to do with it  being low season for most North American weddings.  Low season means that there (usually) isn't a backlog of editing to be done so when they shoot a wedding they can immediately start on the edits instead of going back to work on a wedding from 3 weeks ago.

I got married last January and we had our pictures in about 2 1/2 weeks and they were beautiful.

  • They're absolutely beautiful, so I'm assuming it's the lack of weddings around our City right now. I couldn't make it to the actual wedding so I was excited to see the pictures so early

I can see that. Two and a half weeks seems reasonable in a low season.

I still think 2 days is crazy fast, but awesome for her if they're beautiful.

  • We got ours back in about 5 weeks which is quick for my photographer. We got married 12/27/14, so also down season

  • We got a huge sample of "sneak peeks" 3 days after our wedding. Our photographer just happened to not be booked for any other weddings that weekend so he had time to get these to us. We got the rest of them within a month and we didn't really get married in an off season.

    I feel this way too.

Glad they turned out for your friend!

  • We got married on a 7-day cruise, so our scenario was a bit different.  But, we had all our photos (printed and digital) in about 4 days.  The day after the wedding (at 10pm) we met with the photographer and saw all the photos printed and already touched up.  We did notice a few additional edits needed while looking through them. Then she spend the next 4 days retouching them and putting together albums. But, it was awesome to come home and already have photos in our hands.
