    Apparently I'm cheap AF, but 15% sounds good to me for tips and I am not super crazy about how my hair looks.  I mean, hopefully it doesn't look horrible, but if the one stylist messes it up then I can just go to another one.

    Oops. I never tipped on my free bang trims but I tip the shit out of her (and her assistant who does the hair washing/scalp massaging) when I come in for the "real" haircut.

    I don't have bangs anymore so I guess I won't eff that up anymore!

    Re: tips, I usually go by the 20% or $5 rule--whichever is higher. I have been known to round up my $7 manicures to $10, but it has been years since I've paid someone to do my nails so I think it's time to keep up with inflation and give her at least $5...

    When I had bangs, I'd give $5 for the free trims.

    My stylist is fairly pricey - $65-70 for a cut, and then $150 and up for cut and colour.

    I've always tipped well though, 20% plus I round up to the nearest $5.
