  • Wifey went down on me last night and then again this morning. It was a wonderful way to wake up.
  • @bubblegum1309 new job...so no Cancun next year? Sad!

  • Last weekend, I was making pancakes and said that it would be great if I had bacon to make to go with it. Without hesitation, FI goes to put some shoes on to get some bacon, and he also bought some mimosa fixins! He's the best.

  • I've been nervous about my presentation for work, and I was going to do a run through with my bosses yesterday. So, during our tasting I asked FI if he would listen to it. Throughout the whole tasting, in between courses, he listened to my presentation, and asked questions without complaining  once :)

  • Fi jumped me (for sex) when I got home from school. Do like.

  • Even though we've been together for three years, I am still a little worrier when it comes to FI job.

Being a nervous flyer, and not fully understanding HOW planes fly, the fact that he flies planes for a living still makes me think all the bad things now and then.

Because of this he has always promised to text me when they are about to take off and once they are landed. And he always makes sure that I know approximately the length of a trip. I've always been so grateful that he is understanding of my paranoia and is willing to do this because I know a bunch of his co-workers would probably tease him about 'checking in'

The other day he had an over night flight to this middle of no where, in the mountains, small reserve town where there was no internet and no phone reception. He was going to be gone for 40 hours with no way of telling me that he even arrived safely. I tried so hard to play it cool and tell him it was alright, I would deal etc.

2 hours after he takes off I get a call on my cellphone from an unknown number. He had gotten permission from dispatch before he left to use the 'obscene amount of dollars a minute Satellite phone' in order to call me to let me know he arrived safely.

    Yup. I am keeping him.

My FI travels for work a lot too... I am also a worry wart!  He's pretty good about texting me when he's leaving and landing, but like you mentioned, sometimes they can't!

One site I love is www.flightaware.com ... it's probably the most accurate flight status site.  Also shows where their plane is coming from (so I can give him info when his flights delayed and the airline at the airport is being vague as to why), and everything like that... even shows a little map as to where the plane is while in flight.

  • I've been spending a ton of time at school because I'm a first year teacher. FI hired a cleaning lady to come once a month to do some deep cleaning. She does all the floors and bathrooms. It's awesome to come home to an extra clean house!
  • DH took my car for emissions testing today when he finished work early.

He drives me to/from the train when he's not in class (the compromise for me moving in with him despite the horrible location of his house). He always has me check in at a specific train stop so he can time things so I don't have to wait for him to get me.

  • Guys. FI cooked for me last weekend. He rarely cooks because A. he's a chef and spends 40 hours a week cooking for people, so when he's off, he doesn't really want to cook, and B. he can't just cook for us because we're living with my parents until after the wedding.

But last Saturday we had the house to ourselves, and so he grilled steak for him and chicken for me, and made mango scallop ceviche, and mufungo with purple potatoes and plantains, and bacon wrapped asparagus, and it was the best thing I'd ever put in my mouth. Even grocery shopping is fun with him, at least until it's time to check out. Then I'm reminded why I don't take him grocery shopping very often haha.

  • He calls every night we spend together a "big fiesta!" (we live together, so this is almost every night when he isn't traveling for work - that's a lot of fiestas!).

He sends me texts during the day that say "I loveth you".

He washes the dishes every night.

Every morning he says "I love waking up next to you in the morning", and every night he says "I love going to sleep with you every night" (every day for the past 3 years, without fail).

He calls me his "red haired girl", or "RHG" for short and jokes that he's working on a book called "The care and feeding of the red haired girl"
  • He texts me love and kisses when I'm at work.

He makes up and sings cute little songs for me.

He rubs my back to put me to sleep

He'll rub my feet even though he hates feet

Today he took his car in to the shop for an oil change and new tires, but rather than go home when he was done, he waited until he knew I'd be at the office (he has to drive past my office to get to our town) and brought my partner and I donuts.
