I'm leaving work early today, and I have 0 motivation....... Just like yesterday, but oh well!
When I leave, I have to take a dress back to anthropologie, the one I mentioned here a week or so ago....It makes me look huge, I have ultimately learned my lesson that a-line dresses do not work for me.
Then I'm getting my eyebrows threaded...ouch, and then getting a spray tan just because. (I scored a free one a few months back and haven't used it yet. )
How's your Thursday?
Re: Rainy Thursday, but a short work day for me!
Thursdays are my Friday. I work at a church and work Sunday mornings running a program so I don't come in to the office on Fridays during "business hours" in order to maintain two consecutive days off. It is great.
It's also spring break for the grade school which is attached, so the office is fairly empty and the place is dead. I'm getting some good long-term planning done, but when I'm not having ideas, I'm very much with you on the zero motivation.
I'm trying to figure out how much notice to give here. I could give like 3 months' worth, but I kind of want to wait until after I get back from the honeymoon next month, then do it. That's still a solid 6-7 weeks. My coworker is retiring May 5, and they're not going to replace her - they were going to shift it all to me. I was thinking the longer I give them, the more chance they will have to fill her slot (they're not officially closing the rec just in case it's too much work for 1 person), then just not replace me. But on the flip side, I want to work until mid-June so I can have all my credit cards paid off before we move and I'm unemployed for a little while. I don't want them to cut me loose too early.
Any managers want to weigh in on what you would prefer? I don't want to just give 2 weeks - that's not nearly enough time.
You'll have to come back and share what you did for the bach party because I got invited to one in NOLA this summer and I am so excited! I've never been there.
That's the worst.. Love your new Miranda siggy gif btw.
