  I'm supposed to be going out to dinner tonight with DH's mom and stepdad but they haven't confirmed anything in a while so I feel like we aren't going anymore lol. I also got some more laundry done yesterday so I'm proud of myself about that. I still need to vacuum the upstairs, I'll force myself to do that tonight.

  
  

  I'm running out of clothes...none of them fit. It's depressing and I don't want to buy new clothes.

  Happy birthday!!

  It's supposed to snow here today I'm not excited. I just want warm, summer weather! Or even rain would be good but I'm done with snow!   Let's see, it's Thursday.  That means tomorrow is Friday which means I only work 4 hours!  WOO-HOO!
  
  I got the job offer yesterday.  It's a slight pay cut, but once you factor in health insurance (I can drop my expensive private insurance) it comes out to be like $30 difference a month, net.  So I am going to take it!!

  @GoldenPenguin - I would be a Project Manager reporting up to a Program Manager.  Still working as a government contractor but under a better contract and in a low-stress environment.  My new area deals in radars around the country.

  It's a short week for me, tomorrow is a stat holiday here!

  Last night FI and I had our second meeting with our pastor and we've got most of the service nailed down. Just need to make some last decisions on readings and where we're standing in the chapel. Then we went to Home Depot to look at flooring again because FI thought the colour we picked was too red...and I think he was right. We found something that we like better, so we just have to order enough boxes. And they're having a big appliance sale until next week, so I need to do some research on washers and dryers so we can order those to take advantage of the sale!

  Tonight I have some errands to run after work, mostly WR stuff. Tomorrow we have church and then lunch with FI's whole family, and I think we'll go to the movies. Saturday we probably have other errands to run, and then we're having dinner with my family. And Sunday is more church.

  And yesterday my boss finally approved my vacation request for the wedding/HM. I think she just forgot about it, but I was starting to get antsy. But it's done, 2 1/2 weeks off!!! I can't wait!!!

  I am frantically running around getting shit done and it feels great! I did have to go to the MVA this morning, but I finally have a license photo that isn't hideous AND my new address is on my license now, so YAY! At noon the errands will come to a sudden stop so I can take a nap before work tonight.

  This week seems to be going fast for me. Last night I had a drive home from hell (was rear-ended, but no damage to my car, thank god). I skipped the gym and nixed my plan to try to go tanning, and instead went straight home and downed a few large glasses of wine. Then I ate dinner and promptly fell asleep, at 8pm. I woke up around 9pm, showered (in an attempt to wake up), and then fell BACK asleep around right after my shower. I put myself to bed once and for all at 9:45, despite the fact that my current favorite show (The Americans) was on at 10. FI watched without me, but he said he'd re-watch it tonight.

  
  

  On the bright side, today I FINALLY got my period. It had been 45 days. I've had a super long cycle since going off of BCP several months ago and it's been frustrating not knowing exactly when to expect it. I should probably make a dr.'s appointment but I think I'm going to put it off until after the wedding.

  
  

  In other news, I'm SUPER excited for Saturday because I have my first alterations appointment. I haven't tried my dress on since January and I've never tried it on with my wedding shoes & veil, so I can't wait to do that! The dress is a little too big and WAY too long, so I know there's going to be a big difference after the first alterations are done. I can't wait to see how it looks when it fits correctly!! That afternoon, FI and I are doing a tasting with our cocktail-hour caterer, and I can't wait to try all the fancy things.

  @southernpeach89 - i just did laundry on saturday and its already spilling over the basket! i love doing laundry (is that weird?) and when i had my own washer dryer it was no big deal but now we have shared laundry in the basement of our building so its more of a  hassle (and $3/load) so i dont enjoy it as much.

  Saturday is for more housework.

  
  

  Sunday FI and I will go to sunrise Easter Sunday services, then we'll go to my parents' place for lunch. I'll score the bulletins in the afternoon and we'll talk about the wrapping on the bouquets.

  FI has an interview on Monday! I'm so excited for him! He applied for 2 jobs about a month ago, and I was starting to worry they were going to blow him off like all of the places did after he first graduated from college (back then he had no experience, now he does, but it was a huge blow to his self esteem to struggle to find work after he graduated). He's super nervous and will have to spend the weekend studying, but I know he's going to kick so much butt. Please send all the job vibes on Monday!

  
  

  I'm back in the land of the living today. It's nice to have makeup on and be out of the apartment. I sound really croupy, but I feel A LOT better. April is the start of our busiest time of year, so I've got a lot to do today. Our CRM is still being wonky though, so who knows if I'll be able to do half the stuff on my list. 

  
  

  Oddly enough, I don't have tomorrow off. It's one of the few holidays we don't have off, and it's the only that FI has off and I don't. Work also just sent out an email saying that because so many people are able to work from home, we'll no longer have snow days. If the weather is bad and the main office closes, we're expected to work from home. Sadness.

  
  

  WR: I booked a few cake consultations for April 11, so that will be fun. I'm hoping to do them all in one fell swoop so that we can make a decision quickly and get a baker booked ASAP.   FI's birthday is tomorrow. I need to run to the store during lunch to grab cake mix to make him cupcakes when I get home today.  I was going to make actual homemade ones from scratch but ain't nobody got time for that. I was also going to do this <clicky but I'm a complete dumbass and didn't even think about that fact that balloons don't float without helium and just got a regular balloon pump so I'll hang the balloons upside down from our archway from living room to dining room with pics hanging too instead. 

  
  

  I made reservations for us and a few of his friends to have dinner at a Mexican place tomorrow night. I won't tell him until tomorrow and I'm not telling his friends are joining us either. I haven't even bought him a real gift since I had no idea what to do. So I'll just ask him whether he'd like me to get his new phone (due for an upgrade next week) or get concert tix - yesterday I saw that Smashing Pumpkins is touring with Marilyn Manson and tix go on sale tomorrow morning so I can't buy them yet anyways.

  @eilis1228 - All the job vibes to your FI! BF had a really hard time finding a job in his field after graduation as well and I know it was a big blow to his self-esteem. The job hunt sucks, especially when jobs just blow you off. I interviewed for a job last week and they wanted to do second interviews/make a decision this week and I've heard nothing. It pisses me off because it's not that damn hard to send a quick e-mail letting me know you're going in a different direction.

  @hummingbird125 yay for the period, long cycles are really the worst, especially when TTC.

  Tomorrow start my 3 day weekend. No good plans for tomorrow but sleep, running a few errands and some cleaning.  No other good plans for the weekend either but we will see family both of ours on Sunday so that is always fun.

  @swazzle right now I used a shea butter soap to cleans and moisturize with jojoba oil. In the summer when my coconut oil stays melty I use that to cleanse - it's good at removing makeup and then you don't need to do a second moisturizer.

  @southernpeach89 I think you should switch to dresses for the rest of the year Easier to fit in to than pants. Besides it isn't your fault! Baby Peach is growing!

  @hummingbird125 I'm so glad you're ok and your car wasn't hurt either! Accidents are so scary. Please share dress fitting photos later if you can!

  Tomorrow is FRIDAY! Today doesn't matter. Nothing exciting going on. I just can't wait for tomorrow because I'm getting a free half day from my boss for working so late on Tuesday night.

  Saturday is H's birthday so I'm taking him to a pro soccer game as a surprise. Tailgating starts around 4 for some groups, so I think we'll plan to get there between 5 and 6 to drink and walk around and then the game starts at 7:30. I got us VIP tickets, and I have no idea what that means (hopefully free food and drink and other goodies). Guess we'll find out! Sunday is Easter with my family. I'm making mac n cheese, Brussels sprouts, and deviled eggs and we'll also celebrate H's birthday with my family.

  Tonight I have to clean clean clean my house. My parents will be here right around when I get off work tomorrow, and we are going to a beer/wine festival on saturday. But, the last time my mom visited she started deep cleaning my kitchen, and it was upsetting to me because I had already cleaned before she came and I guess my place just still seemed gross to her. She's a cleaner, but still..... I got pretty down on myself after last time. Not gonna let that happen again!

  I wish I had off today, or at least that it was Friday.  I don't have off tomorrow but hopefully it should be quiet at work.  We will see.  Today I'm working and then going to singing lessons tonight to prep for my aunt's wedding...I had a nightmare last night that she asked me to sing ANOTHER song (I'm doing two already) at her wedding while at the wedding itself.  Ugh. 

  
  

  I have no idea what we are doing for Easter...maybe heading to my sisters?  I really forgot it was Easter.  Friday I'm buying some vacation clothes from White House Black Market I think...one week to MEXICO!

  So I talked to my friend about her job offer and here's the lowdown. My insurance is going to be significantly more expensive but she's going to cover it and it'll be the same plan I was on before so I won't lose coverage. I'm gonna take home about 20% more than I already but it won't be hourly like I am now which really affects my pay so that's a plus! I do have to still talk to her about vacation, she doesn't offer paid vacation and my employer does and I don't have any family here so I try to take time off at least once a year and see them. I am starting to get anxiety about this, I've been with my job for almost five years and I've been very unhappy with it recently so I know I need to leave but I don't like change. I'm leaving a huge company to a tiny store. Any advice on easing this type of anxiety is much appreciated!
