WHY ARE YOU PEOPLE SO OBSESSED WITH

Re: WHY ARE YOU PEOPLE SO OBSESSED WITH

  • Back to the original off-topic topic - I bought dill pickle popcorn today.  Also a bag of cheddar bacon.  They are new flavors from Old Dutch.  I haven't tried them yet, but I'm ridiculously excited.  Dill chips we get around here pretty regularly though.  For awhile, we were able to get ketchup chips, too, which I love, but I haven't seen them in at least three years.  :-(

In sadder news, my favorite tortilla chips, the sweet potato ones, were nowhere to be found at Trader Joe's - I hope they weren't discontinued.  I settled for the flaxseed ones.

The ceaser is freaking amazing! I om-nommed a bag in about 2 secs. I shared some with my boyfriend but couldn't stop myself from continually putting my hand in the bag and the deliciousness in my mouth.

Dumb question, why was OP banned? Her post was obviously ridiculous but did she say anything offensive or done something that violated TOS?
I wondered the same thing. I don't have TOS memorized but isn't it a violation to deliberately post something for the sake of stirring the pot? Trolling I guess?

I took a quick look over at the thread referenced over there and it's all so petty. They make fun of us, we of them. Internet comments at their worst.
This account was an AE for the OP. Her original account remains. AEs are a tos violation, they result in a warning and are banned.
    Ooh, an AE for whom?

  • Please ladies... I seriously am NOT trying to start anything or get snippy. But after the first reply to my first post was... " you gave her a job and pretended it was an honor. ...and pretended to respect her" ..... I was like WTH??? My friend insisted on being in charge of as much of my wedding as she could so I gave her something to be in charge of.
I didn't know about lurking here 1st. I wasn't prepared for what I took as getting jumped on and I reacted poorly. I just feel there's different ways to express ones-self to make a point.
Such as "if someone has 20 roommates and 17 of them think something is a bad idea..." It doesn't come across as if the person being address is being personally attacked.
    Just my $0.02... ♡
Not trying to start anything either. But I just read that thread you're talking about. All 4 pages of it. All I got out of it is clarity about your teensy case of sour grapes, and an English ladyboner for @TrixieJess.

And I'm the most boring chip-eater ever, I've got plain old Lays.

Aww Thanks! And if you like plain chips, you need a good hearty dip. My favourite is Philidelphia Herb and Spice, I buy a bag of ruffles just so I can justify that dip!

I'm going to have to find a good dip. At one point early in my college career there was a creamy salsa on the market that was FANTASTIC on Ruffles, but it disappeared pretty quickly (I was probably the only person on the planet that liked it) and I haven't thought about it in years except wistfully in the chip aisle.

I just realized I could probably make it though... wow. I'm a dumbass hahah.

ETA: I just found a recipe. Took me two seconds. The recipe: Cream cheese, thick'n'chunky salsa. The instructions: Mix until blended. So difficult. No wonder I haven't thought of this before. *headdesk*

Mix a little taco seasoning in it and you  have gold!

This is a company I've seen at craft fairs in the area and the dips are SO FUCKING GOOD. You just buy the powder and mix in sour cream or greek yogurt (my personal preference, only because it has protein so I can pretend I'm being healthy while chip and dipping at an alarming rate). The Golden Garlic is amazing. In fact, I should make some this week.

Because I could seriously get down on some kettle corn right now. Or moose munch. Feed me all of it, please.

Huh, interesting. I have definitely seen mods share this info before. But of course, the TOS is intentionally vague, so "calling out" can mean whatever y'all (or the admins who play favorites) want it to mean at any given moment.

    Le sigh.
Hmmm, I can't speak for others, but I know I have always held this position on not calling out users. Granted I have always been a bit of a rule follower and general PITA...oldest child, got it honestly :D

Honestly, I don't even remember who OP is - I can't take the credit for guessing this was an AE. I think the user hasn't posted in a year and created this AE to troll us, I didn't even recognize the name. It was a pretty anticlimactic banning - no one of consequences or even all that entertaining.

    I believe you :)

My frustration is not with your interpretation of the TOS, but that fact that is is so open to interpretation, and intentionally so. Just last week, we had a issue where someone got a warning for something that they were previously told was not a violation. Frankly, it's complete bullshit that the TOS is specifically written in a way that allows for mods and admins to pick and choose who is violating and who isn't.

Anywho, this is sort of the same deal. "Calling out" can mean whatever someone wants it to mean.

It's pretty impossible to avoid violating the TOS, when it is as clear as mud.

Pointing out flaws with the TOS is now a violation of TOS.

It is negative. Do not be negative.
  • Back to chips, I impulse bought some kale chips at TJ Maxx today because I waited in line for 20 min and I was starving and they were 3.49 (which is REALLY good for kale chips), and now I am eating at them at my desk, and they are mostly kale crumbs. :(
    I'm very disappointed.

    Hi all,

We've noticed some users sharing feedback that the TOU is not entirely clear. I want to let you know that creating more direct TOU is something we are working on addressing, so that there is less confusion in the future.

    Thank you so much,
