    Everyone shoving their opinions at me, basically stating what I'm doing is wrong ... etc etc. Doesn't matter if it was intended to be attacking, that is how I felt.


    So..telling you that what you are doing is rude/wrong is attacking you? So last time you got a speeding ticket you were attacked? When you were a kid and your teacher told you to stop talking in class you were attacked?

    Sorry but that is just nuts. Saying stuff like that comes off as very stuck up. And stop saying you have asked people bc it really does not matter. They are either A. not telling you the truth or B. just so used to being taken advantage of they do not know better.

    Here is a challenge. Be the first one of your group to turn this down. If the party is on then give the hosts however much money they would have collected and not charge anyone. Think of how amazingly nice that would be and how  many people would learn from that.
    Personally, I feel like her unhappy responses are attacking me.  I just wanted her to support my critique, not disagree with me.   
    Wow internet sarcasm. I also never expected people to agree with me at all. I understand it's not everyone's thing.
    This also wasn't originally about the stag but everyone just jumped to the "NO" factor. I figured someone would have something to say ABOUT THE ORIGINAL POINT

    Ridiculously bad would be your fiance being seriously hurt or worse in the car accident.. A fender bender more than 2 months before your wedding is not even a wedding issue.

    Figure it out with your fiance if you are going to do it through insurance, or not, and move on.  his insurance should be going down once he is over 25 in two months anyway.

    As for the Stag and Doe.. they are super "popular" where I am from, and I still find them tacky.  My bridal party tried throwing one for me, and I told them I would not attend if they charged admission, and that I would rather them do nothing. We had a couples shower instead.. where guests were free to gift (or not) as they saw fit, not as they were told.

    OP: Yes. My wedding is June 20th and 3 weeks ago I hit the person in front of me. Everyone is fine, I paid $1900 for my car and $400 for his bumper. I cringed when I got the credit card bill, returned a $104 swimsuit and moved some money from my savings to pay it off. My fiance wasn't furious at me, just glad I was ok and I didn't hurt anyone else. That's all.

    So when I'm in Jamaica in 4 weeks with my new husband I'll be wearing a four year old swimsuit instead of this:


    So I can say with assurance that yes I have had something as ridiculously bad happen to me too.
