Finally! I had two short weeks in a row - one with vacation and last week with Memorial Day. So this week has felt extra long.
After @hellohkb's donut thread, thinking about where to go for a donut on Friday is getting me through the week. Also, I'm finalizing some stuff on our baby registry this weekend, so that's exciting!
What's getting you through the week?

I am falling asleep at my desk this morning. I also had two very short weeks in a row, so this week sucks ass.
What's getting me through is knowing that I have a big weekend planned with lots of family time.
OMG NOTHING. On top of it being the week after a short week, it's also my last week here at this job so it seems ENDLESS. I get sad when I remember it's only Wednesday
I'm excited for the weekend though, on Saturday we are meeting with the DJ to sign contracts, and then going to pick up my wedding band. On Sunday evening we have our professional engagement pictures! It's a bit late considering we've been engaged for 4 months and getting married in about 3, but better late than never, right?
I'm working from home today but given that I haven't packed anything but baby gifts yet, I'll have to get away from my computer and into the closet!
I'm excited that tomorrow is Thursday which is like my Friday since it will be my last day of the week commuting to work. I work remotely on Fridays which is awesome.
I'm looking forward to a date night with SO on Saturday because mama needs a night out!
The rest of my free time will be spent doing housework, reading and painting my kitchen.
Work is so dead right now. Summers are always slow for me, but it's always an adjustment from the faster pace of the busy fall and spring semesters at the university. Confession: I debated calling in sick today because I have plenty of sick time and knew it was going to be an agonizingly slow day.
But I am looking forward to tonight. DH and I are trying a new recipe - pesto-marinated shrimp. Then on Thursday we are going to see Entourage with some friends. I've never seen him so excited to see a movie!!
I have a 90-minute massage scheduled for Saturday... my back has been super tight and killing me all week long, so I'm super excited for the weekend now.
Then I leave for vacation the following weekend. I'm anxious to get through the next 1-1/2 weeks, but I have SO much to do before vacation, so I hope it doesn't go too quickly either.
I'm really excited because this cousin actually lived with us for 4 years when he was baby so i've always had a soft spot for him as the 'favourite' cousin and thought of him more as a little brother. And I havent seen him in like 4 freaking years now because of life and I am SO FREAKING EXCITED to see him. Also my brother and SIL will be there which means baby nephew snuggles which always make life better.
Should be an awesome time! We're cheering for the Hawks at this point too.
I admit, we sold our Round 1 Game 7 Avalanche tickets last year. FI had to be out of town for work so we ended up selling them and made enough that paid for all the other earlier Round 1 games and the beers.
