FRIDAYYYY

Happy Friday, ladies! This week flew by!

Yesterday fucking sucked, guys. For starters, I went to the dentist to get 2 of my brand new fillings (I got them on Wednesday) looked at because they didn't feel right and my dentist had to remove one and re-do it. After that shitty appointment, I was walking to the train and someone I know from work basically asked me if I was pregnant which led me to fighting back tears for the next 15 minutes until I could cry alone in my car. Seriously, I've never felt so badly about myself as I did then. Worst thing to ask a woman, ever. Then late last night, H and I finished the TV stand and I'm sad to say that it's our first home-decorating fail. It fits perfectly on the wall, is a really nice stand, and is the perfect style, it's just not the right piece for our living room. If you're sitting on half of the couch, you can't see the TV at all and it made the room feel SO small. So back to the drawing board. Hopefully we can re-sell it for what we paid or maybe more.

After work tonight, I have to stop at Target to pick up half-pint mason jars because I'm making this for my backyard:

I'm the least crafty person on Earth so we'll see how it comes out!

Tomorrow, I'm going to the Belmont Stakes! I think I'm going to wear this dress:

And I just bought these shoes last night:

I'm going with 2 of my friends and one of their friends. We're bringing all kinds of snacks and drinks and it'll be an awesome day! Maybe I'll even win some money! After the races are finished, the Goo Goo Dolls are putting on a concert which I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT.

Sunday, will be house stuff all day long. Our party is next weekend! I seriously can't believe how soon it is and I'm nervous and excited and anxious all in one.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Re: FRIDAYYYY

  • @swazzle I AM SO JEALOUS ABOUT THE BELMONT STAKES!!! I live right by there but I can never got because either I am at work or busy. Tomorrow I am going to CT to see BF's grandmother so I can't go :( sorry your coworker made you feel bad but you look AWESOME in that dress!

Yesterday was "eh" for me. I was really affected by the dream I had (I was having a baby but was totally alone). I have always had trouble detangling dreams from reality, I either think it's an actual memory or treat it like one so it always feels like it actually happened. I was telling BF about it and he thought it was funny and I just started bawling because IT WAS SO REAL OMG HOW COULD YOU. I knew it was a silly reason to cry so I was also laughing. I'm better today lol.

I really want to visit Montauk. I have never been there and I hear nice things so I asked BF if we could go for a little weekend trip and he said no and did not elaborate lol. Maybe he already planned on it, maybe he felt like annoying me, but he should know I am always up for a challenge. The "bug BF until I get my way" challenge has commenced :P

I have to work tonight, I am visiting BF's grandma for her birthday tomorrow, and during the down-time its just homework. I can't. wait. for this term to be over so I can do fun things.
  • aww @swazzle I'm sorry yesterday sucked for :(  WTF is wrong with people asking questions like that- it's beyond rude and makes me so angry. When I was at my heaviest a few years ago a coworker asked me that too. I bawled all the way home and thank god FI was home to comfort me. I felt SO AWFUL. Anyways- you look great and that dress is cute. I hope you have fun tomorrow!

I hope today goes by fast. I have so much work to do but it's 8 days until the wedding so I'm pretty distracted. Today I need to pick up a GC for my BM as part of a gift for her. I want to go to the mall to find a dress for the rehearsal dinner.
This weekend we need to arrange and pack all the centerpieces and do the seating board!
Oh and we still need to pick another song for the processional and an entrance song which for some reason is ridiculously hard.

  • @Dignity100 - Instead of waiting to find time to sit down with someone, why don't you just reach out to some banks online? I never once met with a mortgage person face-to-face.

@southernpeach89 - I'm so jealous of your vacation! You're going to have such a great time and come back so tan! I can't wait to see pics.

@untouchablets - I just went to Montauk for the first time a couple months ago and I really loved it. I would like to go back more in-season because a lot of things were closed when I was there.

@lavenderfields13 - Omg EIGHT DAYS?! How did that happen??? Pics of your things, please!

@buddysmom80 - Get that pool ready for my arrive in 5 weeks (omg that's so far away!)!

  • @Swazzle Sorry that your rude and inappropriate coworker made you sad. I hope you have so much fun at Belmont Stakes! Those shoes are super cute!!

@Dignity100 I hope you get some down time this weekend!!

@SouthernPeach89 I hope you both have fun at the beach!! Also, I fully support a trip to Michaels. I went the other day and they have some really cute things for summer!

I'm working a half day today. BF couldn't get our old stove unhooked this morning so I am scrambling trying to see if I can get someone to come do it before Lowes comes with the new one! If not then we are going to be stuck with the old one because Lowes will only haul away if it's unhooked.

Tomorrow I have a cheer clinic all day! I can't WAIT to see my girls and get back into the gym with them. I have been trying to put together a plan for the day but I can't focus so hopefully I can get something together before tomorrow and not have to wing the whole thing.

Sunday we have a surprise 50th party to go to. We also have cake and ice cream for my cousin's b-day. I will most likely be doing all my house cleaning on Sunday too.

It's going to be a busy weekend! Hopefully it's nice!

  • @caseface5 - Your weekend is so busy! I hope you figure out how to get your old stove unhooked. Send pics of the new one when it's all done!

@cocobellaf - My H is the same way with not putting things away! When he helps me clean, I end up having to do more work than if I were doing it all by myself. So frustrating!

  • @cu97tiger We are going to Hammock Beach in Palm Coast, FL.

@Swazzle - What the ACTUAL F!  First of all, you do NOT look pregnant, at all...though you do look freaking awesome.  Second, that "lady" needs a lesson in manners.  You never, ever, ever ask someone that...ever.  Someone asked me that recently and I ripped them a new one...I went off about infertility, miscarriages, lifestyle choices, etc. and I don't think that lady will be ever asking that question again.  I'm sorry that happened to you.  And F her again, cause you look awesome.

@CocoBellaF - Umm, yum.  Can I come over for breakfast on Saturday?

@TwoDimes - The BBQ sounds like so much fun!

    @southernpeach89 and @blue&white, have a good time meeting...take pictures!
    @lavenderfields13, 8 more days!
@buddysmom80, I hope everything with the pool goes uneventful and you get to enjoy your weekend.
@caseface5 - Have fun at cheer clinic!
@untouchablets - I get it, dreams can seem so real sometimes.  H laughs at my dreams all the time too.
@Dignity100 - I'm glad everything with the tree worked out.
@cu97tiger - Love, love, love that chandelier!  Its beautiful!
    -----------------------------------------------------

I gave up on my no wine during the week yesterday, guys.  TTC is hard enough... without wine its freaking impossible.  I won't be getting plastered but I think I'm in the "Drink Till Its Pink" side after 6 months of trying.  Is that terrible?

I plan on working today, working out (maybe cycle class or walking 5 miles), cooking H's Indian food and just vegging tonight.  Saturday H and I are gardening come hell or high water.  Saturday night we have a get together with friends in Chicago so we are staying at their place overnight.  Sunday will be more gardening when we drive home!
  • @TwoDimes - Your surprised face is perfection ;) Your dinner and those cookies sound absolutely amazing! I definitely think you should go to the fro-yo place after dinner tonight, that sounds SO good.

@cu97tiger - Once I got home last night, all I wanted was pizza and a glass of wine. Luckily, I bought a bottle of red last Friday when @audrewuh was visiting but we never drank it. I went to open it last night and it was called "Fat Bastard". I couldn't even handle the irony lol. I'm not going to wear a hat tomorrow. I only have beachy ones and I would probably end up not wearing it most of the day anyway because I want to work on my tan!

@TwoDimes - OMG I would have cried right then and there. How did you react? Yesterday, it took me a few minutes to understand WTF my coworker was talking about (even though she was fully motioning a pregnant belly) and when I did I was like, "Oh... no." and then continued walking.

  • @Swazzle and @TwoDimes When I worked at BB&B my coworker was ringing out a customer and the customer said to her "Oh congrats! When are you due??" It took my coworker a minute to understand, and then she finally replied very embarrassed "Oh I'm not pregnant.." The customer apparently had no class because she proceeds to say "Oh, well my daughter was your size when she was 6 months pregnant!" I had to walk away and scrape my chin off the floor before I said something to get me fired. People are fucking clueless!!!

  • @swazzle what the hell. My students ask this allllll the time (they also think I'm far too old to not have kids yet, though they think I'm like 24...?) so one day we had a talk about why you should never ask this...it didn't stick but maybe it will someday? H is at class today so I'm just chilling at home. Likely laundry, publix, etc today. Kinda boring... Yesterday I finally caught up on PLL. Holy shit! Did not see that twist coming at all. Creepy. Thus I won't be so far behind anymore! Tonight we may go out for my bday cause I realized yesterday that we didn't yet lol. Oops! Tomorrow is the same as today maybe with a craft thrown in and Sunday is housework :) Chill weekends are the best!
I guess, to tell you the truth, I've never had much of a desire to grow facial hair. I think I've managed to play quarterback just fine without a mustache. - Peyton
  • @Swazzle - In addition to my encounter with a stranger who asked about my "pregnancy" above, I just remembered this one too.  I was at the store yesterday buying pregnancy tests ... and a bottle of wine for the negative I was expecting (classy, I know).  The clerk bagged everything then pulled out the pregnancy test from the bag, waived it around (and yes, there were people behind me) and said "Oh, now that I see you have a wedding ring on, congratulations! Would this be your first?" I was really confused and thought about telling her the 100 ways she was being inappropriate and assuming (1) that I would be pregnant (2) that this would be happy news (though it would) and (3) that it would be unhappy news if I wasn't married (?) but she was just a kid so I said "Well, we'll see...if not, that's what the bottle of wine is for".  She was confused then and re-bagged the test...though the guy behind me laughed.

@Swazzle I can't BELIEVE the nerve of some people!!! I'm so angry for you! I hope that person is absolutely ashamed of themselves right now. Also, wtf with your dentist? Is that normal, to have to get a filling redone? I feel like they should've gotten it right the first time. Either way, yesterday is over, and you have an INCREDIBLE weekend ahead of you! I really hope American Pharaoh wins and you get to see the first Triple Crown winner since the 1970s!!! Place a $1 bet on him for me!

@southernpeach89 Have fun at the beach!!!! I definitely think you should steal @Swazzle's idea. It would look so perfect around your fence line!

@KeptInStitches Have fun at BBB! Anything in particular you plan to buy?

@caseface5 I hope you get the oven thing figured out before Lowe's arrives!

@CocoBellaF Congrats on garden success!!!! We don't have much to harvest yet other than green onions and some herbs.

@minskat30 No judgement from me on "drink til it's pink". From what I've read, there's no major danger as long as you aren't binge drinking or over-indulging anyway.

@cu97tiger I absolutely adore that print!!! And your new chandelier! Come decorate my house please?

@TwoDimes A+ on the surprised face. Have fun!!!!

Nothing super crazy/exciting this weekend. I think tonight @southernpeach89's H is giving us his free table saw to make more room in his garage. Yay!!! Otherwise, H and I have a lot of yard work to catch up on this weekend. Tomorrow night we were invited to a music/beer festival thing....but the beer list sounds kind of crappy and H is on call anyway so I don't know if we'll go. Sunday we'll probably reorganize the garage storage room because it's a mess right now!

  • @minskat30 that was why I bought pregnancy tests online or in self check out.  People are so obnoxious when it come to that stuff.

    Anniversary

  • Amen @Peaseblossom55, amen.  I should know better than to go to that store though.  I avoid one of the clerks who has verbal diarrhea and feels the need to comment on everything you buy (even the really embarrassing stuff...I think she's the reason young men don't buy condoms in that store) so I thought I was safe with the other one...nope.
  • Guys lets admit it, whether we want a baby or not: buying pregnancy tests still feels like a secret lol oh and for those of you in the huh I dunno yet boat like me...any questions about pregnancy are just awkward as hell. Yes I want kids. No I don't want them yet. No I don't know when or how many or how they will end up in our little family BUT it's also none of your random persons business! Also it should be noted that H and I have talked plenty about kids. Most notably, when we know I am pregnant, I get at least ten months counseling with a shrink so I don't have a straight up panic attack when I'm doing my glucose test or having the kid, etc. I also would like the keep the anxiety at bay cause apparently it's genetic but also affected by how anxious you are in pregnancy or some shiz? My future kid may also need counseling if it comes out of me.
H and I are undecided but leaning towards no kids. His family asks me every time we see them when we're going to have kids and no answer I give them is ever fucking good enough. It's tiresome and annoying. It's fully surpassed being awkward.

  • @Blue I try not to even think about the anxiety I have surrounding childbirth.   As much as I hate studying right now, it's such a good distraction. :-)

    Anniversary

  • @swazzle ugh yea i think I scared the ILs lol. They don't ask much. So far my mom was the biggest offender when she drunkenly told me I HAD to get pregnant at 30 aka this year so I could have my first kid at 31like her (my mom is normally sane, but my FBIL is my witness that this happened. Mom denies). And for some reason my FIL keeps joking about kids? But we've already given him the "you cannot be near our kids if you are still smoking" lecture and he has no plans on quitting sooo who knows. Apparently I feel very adamant about carcinogens around my future kiddos.
I guess, to tell you the truth, I've never had much of a desire to grow facial hair. I think I've managed to play quarterback just fine without a mustache. - Peyton
  • @twodimes I've heard people getting shit after that if they do get pregnant afterwards. I do tell my fam to get out of my vagina if they're being ridiculous lol.

  • BF and I talk about having kids all the time (probably explains the horrible baby dream), but its SO WEIRD to hear about it from other people. And it's been coming up more and more from family members lately. We are both from big families, my youngest brother is only 9!! So my parents aren't jonesing for grandkids anytime soon, but BF's mom is and his brother and brother's GF have been together for longer than us but aren't engaged yet so she's getting antsy. Like, last month we went out for drinks with his siblings and their SOs and the brother's GF told us we had to have kids first (which, we're only 24 so no?? Also I guess we know where she stands on that lol) which was kinda a shocker. People actually think we are old enough/responsible enough for kids when I still feel like a kid.
  • @twodimes, I'm most looking forward to the flannel sheets, the ironing board and all its paraphernalia, and the throw blankets.
