Happy hump day!!!
I'm in a happy mood today, despite still being sick and coughing every 30 seconds. When I arrived home yesterday and checked the mail, H and I had a card from his sister & BIL and their kids. They sell stationary-type things on Etsy and now on their own website, as well as alternative guest book posters, and they've become VERY successful. As in - husband quit his probably-well-paying full time job to work with their Etsy shop full time, and they just bought a home. They live outside of Charlotte, NC, and H's parents just bought a house down there too (they're moving in this month). We also have good friends who moved down to NC a few months ago and are loving it. So, we've been toying with the idea of moving down their "someday" for a while now. Anyways, in the card from H's sister and BIL, they wrote a nice note to the two of us and told us they had a great time at the wedding, and then they wrote "[Hummingbird], if you decide to make the move we would like to talk to you about considering a job with us...we've got good hours and we work in our PJ's."
So, yeah. H and I just looked at eachother and cracked up, because we have literally fantasized about that EXACT scenario - me going to work with his sister! We have no immediate plans to move down there, but I am ecstatic that that thought even crossed their minds, and it's really nice knowing that IF we decide to make that move....I could potentially have an awesome, fun, job.
So this is totally a wishful Wednesday for me. What are you wishing/daydreaming about today??
Oh - and here is the adorable card they sent - it's US!
Re: Wishful Wednesday
Still here and still fabulous!
@hummingbird125 that card is the cutest!
@caseface5 you were in my dream last night. H & I went to a gym or something and you were working there and we got to meet. It was really cool. Random yes but very cool.
I wish I would wake up feeling better and not feeling no nausea every day. I wish this nausea thing will go away soon
I wish the weather Saturday will be really nice
I wish the studying will continue to go well so I can pass this exam and be done with studying in about a month.
I wish the baby will grow and be healthy and all will be ok after our genetics testing in 2 weeks.
I wish....
-our concert goes well tonight! It's big band music which isn't my FAVE but the audience will love it
-I could decrease some of my traveling anxiety. I will have SO much fun once I'm in St Lucia but it's a pain to have mini freak outs over nothing.
Today will be a fun day hanging out until the concert! And H is coming to the concert so I've gotta do well! <--the horn parts aren't particularly hard this concert but I still can't screw it up
@Blue&White Have fun with the concert!
@minskat30 sorry for impending AF :-(
@Hummingbird125 - That card is so adorable, and what a neat job offer! That would be amazing, getting to work in such a creative environment.
@Swazzle - I'm sending you great weather vibes! And your jars look soooo adorable!

I wish my work reports would just finish themselves. Luckily I've made some great progress.
I wish it was July 14th because I want to go inside my new house again already!! Pictures aren't good enough.
I'm gonna say it. I wish we could get engaged before we finish with this house process. We had a good talk about it last night, and I don't think it's going to happen. But a girl can wish.
@caseface5 me too!
@goldenpenguin I can't wait for pics!
Still here and still fabulous!
@swazzle - dont worry about running too slow. i average 10:45-11 min miles and im ok with that. sometimes im even closer to 12 min miles. im still getting a work out and thats the whole point. even at my best, when i was training for a half marathon and running 6-8 miles like it was nothing, i was still doing 10:30 miles. thats just the speed i run at and i dont think it will ever change.
@minskat30 - im sorry about AF.
i wish i didnt have to come into an office every day.
i wish BF worked the same schedule as i do.
i wish losing weight was as easy as gaining weight.
