@TwoDimes - You look amazing in your dress!

My weekend was uneventful. I worked Saturday and BF and I went for a hike on Sunday. The best news is when I weighed myself this morning I was down 3 lbs from last week! Woo hoo!

I'm not especially moody today and I just feel very out of it and am having trouble focusing. I would really love to go home and lie down but I've got another 2 hours at least until lunch.

@untouchablets - Way to go with those good grades, lady!

@500days - Those escort cards are gorgeous! Blue Apron is really easy as long as you can follow directions! I'm not a chef by any means. Here's the full recipe for what H and I are having tonight: CLICK

@southernpeach89 I love your idea for the Daddy-Survival-Kit for father's day! And I think it's totally appropriate to celebrate even before the baby is born. My former roommates, however, once tried to adopt their friend's daughter (??????) and she was living with us at the time so they celebrated mother's and father's day (???????) that year which IS ACTUALLY CRAZY.

@cu97tiger GOOD LUCK ON YOUR INTERVIEW TODAY!!!

@twodimes you look SO BEAUTIFUL in that dress!!!!

@swazzle THANKS! I spent a lot of hours at the library, I am so glad I can have more free time now. Now I never have to take another math or economics class AGAIN!!! WOO!

@Swazzle - So I'm guessing that Lifetime movie wasn't supposed to be funny? I wonder why they cast two comedians, then.

@Hummingbird125 - I am rug obsessed right now! My new house is going to need at least two big rugs and a runner. So fun! I love what you picked!

@cu97tiger - I hope the interview goes well! Break a leg, lady!

@TwoDimes - I don't remember if you told us. Is Indy a Good Citizen?..... That dress is so insanely beautiful! You're beautiful! It's all beautiful!

    @untouchablets - Puppy birthday pictures?!?

    --------------------------

My weekend was lovely! We drove to the coast to hang out with my family at their beach house again. I got to fly my dad's four-string stunt kite (quad) for the first time. It had always been too intimidating before, but now I realize it is actually SO MUCH COOLER than a two string kite, and not actually that much more difficult. I want to buy one now.

We made a huge dinner, and I drank a 22 oz blood orange wit beer that was insanely delicious. Then my mom broke out a bottle of wine, so I had some of that. Then we opened the champagne (from France and everything!) that I got my sister as part of her grad present and I had some of that while we went in the hot tub. I went to sleep at about 11 and then woke up four times throughout the night to throw up...... I still haven't learned not to mix alcohol.

Sunday my BF and I stopped in Long Beach and had waffle cones for breakfast. We walked along the boardwalk and went to some art galleries. I think he's really interested in buying some legitimate art for our new house, which is exactly what I'd love to do! Got home around 3 and watched the first few episodes of OITNB. I really don't like Piper or Alex. I personally believe the show would be better without them.

@untouchablets Did the adoption never go through?
No, seeing as they didn't get the go-ahead from either of the kid's parents. It was a crazy situation, her dad loved her but was totally unreliable, which my then-roomies thought was enough of a reason to remove custody. She lived with us because they were moving and her dad didn't have a house yet. So she slept on our couch and my roommates (who were engaged) started treating her like she was their actual daughter. They were calling themselves her parents, saying "I'm a MOM now" and stuff, but were expecting the real dad to pay for everything. It was even mentioned that the state would give them money for doing it? It was like I was living in one of those creepy Lifetime movies. She is now safely with her real mom in Texas.

@untouchablets That story about your friends is so weird! Congrats on your grades and I hope you enjoy the ukulele! That sounds like so much fun!

@AlPacina You should know by now that alcohols (especially champagne) don't mix. ;) I think mixing champagne with other stuff has cause some of my worst hangovers.

  • @labro - So mixing rum (Mojito), champagne (Mimosa) and vodka was a bad idea this weekend?  ;) Thankfully I don't really get hangovers...this drives H mad.  He keeps saying time will catch up with me and I'll get them eventually but I think I'll just pretend I don't get them if I eventually do to continue to drive him crazy.  True love.  ;)

Thanks! And yeah, they're definitely not my friends lol. Not long after that we had a huge falling-out (for obvious reasons) and I moved a year and a half ago. My new roomie is MUCH better. Thank goodness lol.

@AlPacina - I'm still not sure if it was meant to be a comedy or a typical Lifetime movie. I couldn't take Will Ferrell even a little bit seriously. Kristen was a bit easier to handle in the drama role. I really want to start OITNB. I've never seen an episode but it's on my list!

@minskat30 Ugh that drives me crazy too! So unfair! ;) I feel like as I get older the hangovers just get worse and come easier! Too much red wine? Hangover that lasts all day! Drank champagne at the end of the night and it's time for a porcelain god visit in the morning!

  • @untouchablets Omg that's super weird...I'm glad she is in a good place now with her mom!
  • @swazzle I wanted to watch but H didn't, and I was still kind of studying when it started anyway.  I can't imagine taking Will Ferrell seriously either.

Hi Ladies. This will be a post and run, but I did skim through and it sounds like everyone had a good weekend! FI had to work much of the weekend, but he redid his resume in between that. He submitted it to his friend at Google last night, so fingers crossed!

But some (possibly) bad news: I got a meeting agenda for my 11 am meeting today with my department (i.e. my manager, another manager, all of the engineers under them, and the director). First thing on the agenda is "State of the business environment and how it impacts our resources (i.e # of engineers)". Second is "Resource planning". I'm shaking. I had hoped to ask my manager about what all of that means for us in our 10 am meeting with just his team, but he canceled it right after the agenda was sent out. This does not bode well.

@GoldenPenguin - There are times when TK should allow you to 'love' something repeatedly. This is one of those times <3

@labro - I didn't know champagne was particularly bad to mix with other alcohol! I really never drink any kind of champagne or sparkling wine or anything like it. But that's really good to know...... I get an upset tummy pretty easy, actually. It's annoying.

@swazzle - It's a great show, with some amazing characters. I like the main character a lot less now, but luckily the background characters are still extremely hilarious. And almost every episode tells the back story of a different person, which is really great.

@goldenpenguin - I know for a fact that if I ever get to touch a panda, I will bawl my eyes out will happiness. What an amazing experience!

@AuroraRose41 - Wishing you the best, lady. I hope the meeting isn't anything too terrible.
