    @TwoDimes - I hear you and I don't think you are an offender either.  I either respond as I read like @eilis1228 or read then go back and open another window for my responses that I remembered like @labro ...that said, there are days where I'm sort of like "TOO tired, need coffee."  :)

    I'm always peeved though when I'm typing up my responses, write my own input and then post only to find like 10 people posted in between when I started and finally posted.  ;)
  • @eilis1228 - What was in your smoothie??  My blender has been acting up (leaking from the bottom) so I think it needs to be replaced soon.  :(
  • @AlPacina - FI is the same way about not going to bed early when he knows he's going to have long days and work and then he's grumpy. He has a really long week this week (long days and has to go in on Saturday and Sunday) and he still went to bed really late last night even though he was telling me how exhausted he was earlier in the day.

    @swazzle @labro 20/20 hindsight, should have just left it but when it was given they said it was okay to cash by X date {dated on cheque}
    It's gonna get fixed, but went into overdraft and barely have enough to cover basics {ie; groceries and rent}

    All before I've had a chance to have coffee and wake up. *yawn* This is becoming one of "those" days ...

    {side note: Matt's step-dad called us, and even he was confused - at this point we're hoping there was a fuck up at the bank.}
    OMG YOU GUYS, LAY OFF MISS KITTY DANGER. Obviously she didn't make enough off of her stag and doe, so now she's low on cash.

    I just can't with this nonsense today.
    Oh...Stag and does are the worst!

    ETA: I found that by typing in "sad baby" on the reaction gifs website. It was supposed to be a sad baby. But fake crying news correspondent pretending to jerk it was funnier to me.

    Does anyone else here use a heart rate monitor at the gym?  I have one (polar) and just started using it.  I know I work my butt off in spin and have been for 6 months but was a little surprised that it was in the range of 160-180 for about 3/4 of the class (not steadily in the higher part of that range but fluctuating).  All the calculators (i.e., American Heart Association and similar scales) I read online say this is pretty high for my age (33).  Elliptical work is about in the 150s-160s (i.e., closer to the target 85% for my age).  Just looking for perspective if these calculators are BS or what?  If anyone has a better calculator/way of testing, let me know.
  • Holy cow, step in a meeting and miss so much.

    @eilis1228 I love that you always respond to everyone. I always try to but, usually miss several people by the time I post.

    @twodimes way to catch the S&D.

    @alpacina omg that hulk meme is awesome

    @minskat30 Shouldn't it also be dependent on your fitness level (not just age?). I find that they are sometimes skewed and I wouldn't read too much in to it....but I feel like there are supposed to be other measurements!

    Depending on your current fitness, those heart rate ranges might not be right for you. They are very general. I'd do some googling about people with higher ranges and see what you can find. I wouldn't be too worried about it unless when you're in the high ranges you are severely short of breath, light-headed, etc.

    Still here and still fabulous!

  • @AlPacina Ah, the hand cramp from being a home owner. Totally worth it! That venue sounds awesome! Very cool! Also, if I didn't respond to everyone as I read their post, I'd never be able to keep it all straight.

    @CocoBellaF I did a scoop of Sun Warrior protein powder, half a cup of a strawberry and peach frozen fruit mix, a banana, a handful of spinach and baby kale, and half a cup of unsweetened vanilla almond coconut milk. The Ninja did a really good job of chopping up the fruit and leafy greens... much better than our previous blender that we got from Costco!

    @caseface5 I was so nervous using the blender this morning. I was worried I'd set it up wrong and the smoothie would go everywhere! It ended up being really easy and convenient though.

    @TwoDimes OMG you are the best!

    @minskat30 EXACTLY! There are definitely days where I don't acknowledge anyone and just P&R, but it's just the people who constantly come in, don't respond to anyone but update on their own lives, and then peace out. I know not everyone can take the time to respond to EVERYONE, but it's a nice gesture to at least respond to a few people.

    @cu97tiger I definitely do that too. If I really have no response to someone's post, then I won't respond. No harm no foul. If I make a dull post with no real updates, I don't expect a ton of responses.

    @knockonwood5127 No worries! It can be difficult to keep everyone straight! There are quite a few people on NEY right now! Lately the threads are multiple pages long by the time I get to work!

    Guys, the HR rep just called to ask about how I was interviewed 3.5 years ago when I was hired here. Now I'm a little paranoid...

  • @TwoDimes I totally agree with @cu97tiger about the final meetings. If he doesn't mind not being there I'd do them without him. My mom flew in for my bach party the month before my wedding so I wanted to go to them with her while she was here. I checked with H that he didn't care and I went with her. Much easier!

    @eilis1228 I don't actually go to the gym- just do videos in the living room so it's much easier than actually having to drive somewhere!
    Also I tend to have quite a few nightmares where I'm being chased and they're very vivid. I feel like that must mean something.

  • @minskat30 I used a polar for a while and just recently switched to the FitBit Charge HR, which tracks your heart rate. The polar was VERY accurate, the FitBit is not very accurate at all. I switched because the chest strap on the polar was starting to get really finicky, but I'll probably switch back to a polar once the FitBit gives out. I always had a really high heartbeat during spin or on the elliptical. I remember once it said my heartbeat had climbed into the 200s! Some people just have a higher-than-average heartbeat. Like @cu97tiger, unless you're feeling faint when your heart gets that high, you should be fine.

    @speakeasy14 No worries! There are so many people who post on here that responding to every single person can be difficult.

  • @eilis1228 don't be paranoid, it sounds like they're trying to change their interview process

  • @eilis1228 - That's a bizarre question. I'm sure it's nothing though :)

    @lavenderfields13 - What work-out videos do you do at home? I canceled my gym membership because I wasn't really going and it felt like a waste of money. I'm going to start Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred next week but I'd love to have more ideas of what I could do after that.

  • @alpacina I love lasagna but I'm picky about my sauce- I'll only eat it with homemade sauce and I don't have time for that right now lol

  • Yes I had a S&D, and you know what? It was super fun and I have zero regrets. I did not host it and everyone who helped I did give some to them.
    The account situation also has zero correlation to that. My wedding was paid prior to stag {well, funds saved and put aside} so any money we did end up keeping, goes to upgrading some stuff so that our guests at the wedding get something better {money to cash bar} in order for them to enjoy it.

    I don't care if it's tacky, people had fun and they won some great prizes. We put a lot of effort into people enjoying themselves.
  • It's hard to comment and respond to everyone.  I really try I hope one takes offense to it if I don't.  I don't take offense at all if I'm not mentioned.  Especially if there is nothing the least bit exciting going on! :-)

    @alpacina Yes savory crepes are just as wonderful.  I had some of the best in Paris.  One had egg cheese and tomato, it was in a tiny little hole in the wall place in Montmartre.  The one you had sounds amazing too, asparagus? Yum :-)

  • @lavenderfields13 We just bought ricotta for THIS. Haven't cooked it yet but looking forward to it!

  • I'll search around for some other calculators @labro - I wouldn't say I'm super fit but I'm in decent shape and able to keep up in most fitness classes (except burpess, I hate burpess...I can do them but I HATE them).

    @cu97tiger - I've only gotten lightheaded once and immediately stopped.  I certainly couldn't carry on a conversation in the higher ranges but wouldn't have an issue with giving a few word response to a question.

    @eilis1228 - I love the polar actually.  It has been pretty dead on with what my perceived exertion is.  Holy cow though 200s!  When I hit 182 or so I can only sustain it for a minute or two before needing to take a step down.

    I'm probably fine and just worrying about it too much.  I feel great afterwards and stay hydrated.  I'll do some more research.  I know my resting heart rate is in the mid 70s (it was in the mid 80s before I really kicked up the fitness routine 7 months ago so clearly something is working).
  • @alpacina that venue sounds so cool!

    @minskat30 I used to use a Polar too..it was crap after a year though even after replacing all the batteries. When I was working out REALLY hard it would be in the 160s-170s. I have no idea what any of it means though!

    @bethsmiles I have been doing the same videos for years haha. I have a lot of Jillian Michaels videos and I have the Slim Series DVDs by Debbie Sieber- they're older but still good workouts! They're all about 1 hour long but I think they have Slim Series Express ones which are about 1/2 hour. I try to alternate those with walking and C25k- although I usually only do the first week workout for C25K because running is really hard for me. I also do Blogilates workouts on Youtube. My friend really likes the Tone it Up workouts on Youtube and has some of their DVDs.

  • @lavenderfields13 - I'm right there with you. I always make my own sauce for lasagna too! And then put a layer of fresh tomato slices and big leaves of basil in the middle. It's too bland if you use the can/jar sauce.
